When I read this issue I actually wondered if the backgrounds on these pages were all digital. It's pretty rad that they were mostly ink work. The Frank Martin colours in this sequence were really fantastic too. Nice pickup! I really liked the heart-to-heart that Jean and Scott have in this issue. I agree! Cassara's line work, inks, and art really is awesome! I love that it's not digital too! |

Great set of FALL OF X pages from the latest IRONMAN series. I am enjoying this run with the x books. Ironman has never been a character I care much for but in this series it's working. I agree 100% James! I think the draw has been the "X" heavy focus on this run... I love that Emma has been a regular in it, and in some ways I've thought Duggan did a better job making this a "fall of X" book than he did X-men. The fight with Feilong, Emma's sense of purpose, this run has seem to had more focus than the sometimes "randomness" of the X-men book lately. X-men feels like its purpose has been to tie up loose ends, where as this one really felt like it had a sustained focus. |

Beautiful sentiments. We started around the same time. DEATH OF SUPERMAN/FUNERAK FOR A FRIEND was my intro as graphic novels compiling those issues. Then I jumped onto the X books as well and never looked back. Awesome that you got a page from such a significant issue you grew up with. I preferred these simpler times as well, I do really enjoy the Hickman world of Krakoa and am currently sad to see it go away. The people of X are getting spread too far out and it's getting complicated to collect all their stories. And I also really enjoyed the lovable kind Beast, but what seems to be happening is a power corruption with that character and an evolution to the Dark Beast we all thought he came from the AOA when some things are just destined. Great page featuring the characters we love in a simpler time. Congrats! Thanks so much!!! Yeah it was a great time! And I agree- the X-men are spread pretty thin these days! And who wants to buy all 10+ comics that are our right now?! |

I recognized this page right away because Uncanny #337 was one of the first comics I ever bought as a new release instead of something I dug out of a quarter bin. I remember $3 CAD feeling like a lot of money for a comic back then haha. Nice pickup, this was a fun slice of life issue. Perfect way to describe it! I got it for 1.99 and I remember my mom thinking that was a lot hahaha! |
