Astounding story. Amazing page. Glad to see it where it belongs.
Wow.
Just, y'know...wow.
Fantastic art, of course, Jim is a master, but the content of this page is so on point, encapsulating major elements of the Hush saga.
The pages of the Great Darkness are forever burned into my mind.
Jealousy ensues.
A classic representation of one of my all time fav series by its co-creator. The joy Cassaday had with these characters is always evident.
Exceptional content and composition. Solid ink with firm, clear images. A classic representation of Silver Age DC via a Golden Age hero. An issue with particular meaning for fans of the Jack Knight Starman series.
A powerful and wall-worthy piece. JH Williams is an absolute modern master whose work should be seen more widely.
John Cage's 4'33"
Robert Rauschenberg's White Paintings
Salvatore Gurau's "Io Sono"
And now Keith Giffen's Legion #4 Page 26 stands among them.
What an inspired choice. So suited to his style and yet not something I've ever seen him do before. Fantastic.
You know, I recall when this was up for auction at some point, commentators downplaying this cover as silly or even just because the focus was Jarvis. They just didn't get it. This is probably my favorite Perez Avengers piece for exactly that reason it's not theirs. You get all these classic illustrations of perennial Avengers but with Jarvis out front, you get something truly special and unique that captures story and era while exemplifying Perez's work with many of the hallmarks of his style. This is truly a great acquisition and I heartily congratulate you for getting it and for getting it.
Ted at his finest. The stark black and white suits the stormy setting. Classic imagery from an amazing series and from my favorite story arc. You owe it to yourself.
I share that love for Omega Men (what I wouldn't give for a nice omnibus with a bunch of bonus stuff). What a perfect way to encapulate it's near Legion-like cast with art by an artist who really put his stamp on the series.Delightful,.
Classic Lois. That's wall worthy stuff there.
I'm glad to see this piece has finally found an appropriate home. It was a bit out of my reach so I got a panel page from a few issues prior to this. I love this earlier phase of Staton's run and McLaughlin's inks really made GL pop, particularly on the originals. Congrats.
Killer piece with two of my favorite DC war characters. Powerful story moment.
What a fascinating piece. It captures two time periods in one piece of art. Social awareness has always been part of comics and this one is beautifully rendered by a master.
Man, the things we never got. But now you have this. It's a museum of esponage art in and of it self. Well done.
Beautiful, modern rendition that harkens back to the likes of Rockwell. Congrats.
A fine example of Grell, of Sable and even of classic First Comics.
Great early Truman - hints of what was to come.
Tony's love for his co-creation shows through everytime he renders Jack.
Like a Victorian textbook on "The Aquaceous World."
Fig.1 Stingray (Walterus Newelli)
Beautiful
Love the subtle vibes of existential...I dunno - sadness? ennui? - as he drifts in his space salon hairdryer. Seriously, cool and haunting.
The design elements, color tone, composition - all top notch. Congrats.
Classic early phase Giffen. Little touches of Kirby, bits of the style to come in Legion. Fantastic piece.
The Reese's Peanut Butter Cups of the great British Masters. Two great tastes that taste great together.
Classic character done masterfully with a modern eye and a kinetic flavor.
Nicely done. Optimal pairing of subject and artist.
A fantastic and unexpected mash-up that's also optimal for Nowlan's talents.
