Great Lonati work for PERRY RHODAN... congratulations.
I always liked this Bruck painting a lot. Great catch...
It is great to see how the visual world of the Perryversum has developed over the decades. Today, only grandmaster Alfred Kelsner and Dominic Beyeler are still using convential brush and paint of the cover artworks of this gigantic series. I have to say that also the digital artworks of Dirk Schulz and team have meanwhile become very good. May the magic continue...
Great action and movement in this piece. Nice one...
I believe the artist is Karl Stephan. He was one of the three illustrators who left their mark on the German science fiction series in the 1950s and 1960s. The other two were Johnny Bruck, who became famous with Perry Rhodan, and Rudolf Sieber-Lonati, who was also successful on the market with paintings for crime and horror novels in addition to SF. They were active in various genres.
That is a nice addition to your Ballestar collection, congrats!
Really interesting piece although nothing for my walls...
Great metal cover, congrats!
Very impactful cover from Timo Würz.
This is one of my favorite PERRY RHODAN covers from the 1970s period. Johnny Bruck gave it a cool retro vibe and I certainly love the robots! It has a kind of an interesting fashion statement as well...
A beautiful Bruck cover for sure...
Johnny Bruck is known to use special signatures on certain occasions. This one looks like 'SPICED' and I have not seen one of these before. Usually, these signatures had a meaning. Fun fact - he used the signature 'Jo Shot' in the end of 1989 multiple times given he had shot himself in the foot by accident.
Another great early PERRY RHODAN cover artwork from Bruck. Looks like I need to change my avatar now...
This is a great retro SF piece from Johnny Bruck. I love his work for the German UTOPIA, TERRA and PERRY RHODAN pulp series.
This is a great Johnny Bruck cover in wonderful retro SF style. It is interesting to see how Bruck cover art was re-used among several German SF pulp series and even US eerie magazines.
Johnny Bruck shaped the visualization of the PERRY RHODAN pulp series with fantastic covers and interior illustrations until his death in 1995.
I like Kelsner a lot. Most of his recent cover artworks for PERRY RHODAN are amazing. He is at the height of his creative work.
Great pick-up, Joachim! I do not collect Theo Thomas paintings, but this one is really cool!
Lonati in his typical style. Congratulations...
Nice piece, Bülo! Rudolf Sieber-Lonati has been an incredible productive illustrator in the eerie, wild-west, and science fiction genres. I love his retro-style SF covers!
Nice Lutohin piece, congratulations!
Nice interpretation by Hoffmann, congrats!
Not sure why the vampires are always dressed like that but I like it. Wish I would have the cover of John Sinclair #103 - 'Asmodinas Todesengel'.
Great action-rich Lonati original!
Very cool and creepy Espi painting, congratulations.
Great action-rich wild west cover by Lonati!
Nice classical Ballestar JS cover art, congratulations!
Not my genre, but a really nice painting!
This is quite a nice piece, congratulations. I am a big fan of the original Ballestar cover artwork for John Sinclair #103.
Alfred Kelsner (* May 24th, 1949) is still creating fantastic conventional paint and brush artworks for the legendary German PERRY RHODAN series. I love his more recent covers...
Great cover, congratulations!
Cool retro SF painting from Karl Stephan. Next to Bruck and Lonati a key illustrator for the early German SF pulp series UTOPIA and TERRA. Great finds...
Great addition to your collection. Congratulations...
Great piece, certainly a jewel!
Lonati has created great artworks for various genres. I am a big fan of his science fiction covers but can appreciate the art in his eerie, wild-west and criminal illustrations as well.
