I completely agree with you, Marcus. That’s exactly what I found so interesting about this cover, which may never have been published. The painting technique is also different (oil instead of acrylic) and is more reminiscent of Vicente Segrelles than of Firuz Askin’s other covers.
Ribic has his own unique visual style anyway. It doesn't work for every subject, in my opinion, but it works really well for Tarzan—just like it does for Wolverine.

Thanks, Marcus. Many of the figures depicted in horror or fantasy paintings look somewhat artificial. This executioner by Karel Thole looks like he stepped right out of real life.

The biggest scandal surrounding *Mandinga* was, of course, that this low-budget Italian production, packed with sex and violence, shamelessly ripped off the far superior American film *Mandingo*.
I also think that completing this work was a matter close to Les's heart. His wife and manager considers it his best work. Who am I to disagree with her...

Many talented people out there are just scraping by, and that makes me a little sad. Who on earth invented this damn AI?
I'd rather not think about how much work goes into a drawing like that. You have to have a special passion for this kind of photorealistic artwork to even attempt it.
It is the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour in Moscow. It was my wish to place this church in the background as a contrast to Black Widow. Aesthetic considerations were at the forefront here, i.e., I wasn't concerned with accurately depicting existing stories in the MCU.
