Great observations! Yeah, I love the bold blacks in this piece.
Great observations! I love that 3rd panel and all the ways Rodriguez conveys movement/action: The windows flying open; the shattered glass scattering; the one Serpent's helmet flying off & hair straightening; the other Serpent's head being turned & spittle flying as he's smacked by DD's billy club -- it's all so dynamic!!
Love this page! Such a great shot of DD taking down a racist cop, Love this whole storyline.
Every time I get a new piece of original art I wish we could get an Artist's Edition of the uncolored artwork for the whole series! :)
I'll admit the anniversary issue got me to come back to ASM after a long time away. I'd read some newer issues through the library or Marvel Unlimited but this was the first I bought in a long time and I loved it. It helped that it referenced ASM #8, one of my other all-time favorite Spidey stories. I think ASM #900 did an amazing job honoring the past while still looking forward.
Man I love this page! I can feel the emotion from both characters - so impressive how you conveyed so much so elegantly - just a beautifully "acted" page by the characters. So glad I was able to grab this one.
Just got this page delivered today! So excited that I was able to grab this one as it features Felicia one of my favorite characters being an absolute bad-ass (and looking fantastic while doing so)! Thanks so much!!!
Yeah I thought I could guess how Mike would combine the characters after enjoying his art all these years but he still surprised me with how classic, cool, and elegant the combined costume design he came up with was!
100% agree - Mike's love and enthusiasm really come through off the page and energize the characters! (I still crack up looking at the expressions & body language for the various Madmen - so good!!)
