This is quite a nice piece, congratulations. I am a big fan of the original Ballestar cover artwork for John Sinclair #103.

Thank you ! Ballestars Cover for 103 is an absolute Masterpiece. Probably one of his finest works ! Sadly the Original is vanished and part of a Private Collection.

Timo Wuerz really did an amazing Job here, bringing the Colors of the Original back to life with this own interpretation. I love this canvas.

You have to wonder if these old people are more shocked that she is nude or just shcoked that she's floating in air!

Or the whole Illustration wants to point out something completely different. The people don't really look shocked. I think they're both concerned and curious. They know that their fate depends on the mood of the unknown Girl, which covers herself in an endless Black mass.

The interesting thing is that Ballestar chose warm, friendly colors to create this scene. It's almost utterly cozy to look at. Unlike his other works, which often draw a very straight imagery and atmosphere, this one leaves room for interpretation. And then this giant blue background. Why did he choose to leave so much blue ? You need to step back to see it. It's a perfect mashup of wonderful Colors. Green/Brown for the crowd. A mid-blue for the Black floating girl and very dark Blue for the rest of the sky. Ballestar created one of his absolute Masterpieces with this image. He invites us to see things new. You can find a little bit of every genre in this image.

And that proves Vicenç Badalona Ballestar genius. He was a master who never got the attention he deserved.
