Congrats on owning this piece! Glad Daniel Maghen started selling some of KJG's artworks again.

Also in case you are interested, this comes specifically from Young Jump dated 09/01/2003 (https://www.kmas.or.kr/search/detail/2005098063). If you ever find a copy, do let me know as these are yet to be digitalised in any form!

It's always amazing to see Kim Jung Gi's new art appear (or at least 'new' in terms of me never seeing it before). With the quantities of works KJG made, I am hopeful we can see new ones coming for a long time despite KJG's tragic passing.

My guess would be that this is a scene depicting the Korean War (based on the Hanbok outfit the kids wear).
