I haven't been into cards since I was a kid but these plates strike me as really cool. I have handled comic printing plates but nothing of this size - I have always been curious as to how they feel in hand.

Huge book with Ben Reilly teaming up with the Avengers.  There's a surge in popularity of the clone saga and Ben Reilly due to the movies, plus the 90's nostalgia of these flashy page designs!

Very cool JRJR and Williamson art of the times.  They put the very 90's fashion choices on Jessica here as we see a slick trendy design on her to show how put together she is compared to Ben Reilly.

The fiery red glow in the first panel is a colorist being a painterly.  The rest is more straightforward and don't have that same kind of that orange glow.

A Clone era Spider-Man Unlimited story!  A great quarterly anthology for Spidey fans, but had enough to connect to the main titles!  This has a new vulture, bricks, and a rare sweatshirt Spidey by McManus!

It made this even more intriguing for those who didn't read the McDaniel Green Goblin mini series.

Very memorable as it was rare back then to feature a Spidey cover with just the villain!

I;ve done a lot of research on Ross Andru's real life references.  Although not mentioned in any issues, this is the Gravesend Incinerator in South Brooklyn.  Ross did a great job of recreating it in this issue and issue 180 as well.

I like looking at this type of production art.  I think that water was probably a little too blue for where that incinerator was located though, lol.

A nice remark by JRJR!  He did these out of respect for the special black cover that meant a lot to him as a proud New Yorker.

This is cool and shows how much work went into the memorable cover.  The series was meant to be a new beginning out of the clone saga, but editorial wanted to continue the storylines.  The Spidey design here is one of the most memorable coming out of the saga!
