You might be confusing this with the Jack Kirby's Heroes and Villians (Black Magic Edition) book where inkers used a lightbox to ink Kirby's pencil drawings on separate art board. The Fourth World Gallery, which this was part of, was new art inspired by Kirby's work, but not directly based on Kirby drawings.
Thank you for your input! I can't see any pencil markings and underneath certain areas, it looks as it if there are printed bluelines underneath. You might certainly be right. I hope so! I reached out to Tom himself and asked if it was or not. Hopefully he gets back to me.
