Some great stylish designwork by Gulacy! The Grackle may not be for the spandex crowd, but it has just as much action and thrills with Gulacy's story design and pacing. I love Gulacy's work. I'm stoked to finally own a page!!! |

Wonderful bobs hairstyles of the day! I can imagine kids taking this to the beauty parlour and pointing out which style they wanted that day. Really stoked to have scored a Stan Goldberg page before adopting the DeCarlo Archie House style. |

Great fgood girl look with rockin' figures! Archie is barking up the wrong tree in this title page! Unique look for Veronica with her thick eyelashes! I love the way Al Hartley renders the Riverdale girls! |

I'm sure the inker would be tasked to traditional up the look no matter who drew it. And Jon D'Agostino was an Archie inker for a loooooooong time! |

Looks great with the Colan staging of the story. The black background Colan added weight to the atmosphere at the top to frame all three of our main characters. I really like the way Colan renders the Riverdale characters but I feel it's the secondary characters where it's mroe apparently the work of Colan. |

Don Heck & Murphy Anderson - Detective Comics #433 (Mar 1973) - Jason Bard Owner: Tate Hemlock Comment posted on 4/29/2024
Marcus Wai said:
Really hot genre that was the trend of the early 70's with sleuthing stories! Even Batman playing detective was not enough to satisfy the audience's hunger for these stories! Heck and Anderson bring that hard boiled edge of the crime genre to the title page. I always thought Jason Bard was one of the better Detective backup strips. Especially with Don Heck on the art. If I recall correctly, he was briefly a backup strip in Batman too. |
