Kirk does a good job of mixing angles and camera angles to make the six uniform elongated-panels present the story interestingly. Just the right amount of shadows to provide depth.

The fantastic linework aside. I love how, visually, the first panel tells us everything we need to know about the scene. The characters are in action, all looking at the same thing.
Then the camera angle rotates and we see two guys, one asking the other a question. Then, for the third panel, the camera pulls back and rotates slightly to give us a sight of the captain, who answers the question ... leaving the reader in suspense.
A great example of how a daily can do so much with three panels. All with JCM's masterful art. Congratulations on the acquisition!

Two great pieces that go great together! The Strange picture has a lot of details crammed into an exciting scene. The Grell picture has an incredible amount of detail crammed into one creature.
An incredible historic page page drawn by the Amazing Al Milgrom. Even without color, the brilliance of Ms Marvel is easy to see.

Matt is a master of layout. He sets a memorable scene in panel one, then resets the scene in panel three. The other three panels reinforce the road-trip of it all. The expressions drive (slight pun intended) the action.
