It was pretty cheap actually - although that was a few years back, and it was still a bit more than a dollar :)
Hi Steven - many thanks for that, that's really helpful. Particularly impressed that you solved two mysteries at once! (Thanks for buying the art also - I have sent you a msg re this).
Yes true - although tbh I wouldn't have had space for it :)
Thanks Alfred - hope you're well too. Just sent it. I'm not sure about 'only a prelim'. I guess your version is the complete pencils for an alternative version & in some ways is better than the published version :)
Total bargain and great page! It is actually a prelim rather than the final pencils. The published page has a similar action sequence, including Norman Osborne looking at the Goblin in the mirror, but different art. I can you send you a scan of the published page if that's helpful. The final art is also published in a Marvel Pockebook called 'Riot at Rykers Island' which might be easier to get hold of than the comic.
Hi - I'm not very familiar with the UPA shorts but I definitely agree about the minimalism.
Thanks, yes 'waiting to happen' is right. In a way not much does seem to happen in the story.
Hi Lee - thanks for that. Yes maybe you're right, although this looks maybe a bit more sketchy and not as finely drawn?
Glad you like it. I'll be uploading a couple more prelims from this issue soonish.
Hi - although it states 'annual 3' at the top of the page, I think this was actually published in Annual 4 and is by Tom Grindberg.
All the best
Interesting how the crinkly feet are foregrounded! I imagine - novelty value aside - that this picture could only appeal to a very specialised audience.
