"Punishable by fine of 420,000 U. P. credits or 69 years imprisonment."
awwww geez. Shucks. Gosh. Golly.
Very much so; much less jarring than what we see in the original game. And I agree with your latter comment; one can imagine her having been a villain, then made to join the ranks of the Legion and suitably reformed into a hero, if not perhaps maintaining something of her scheming, mischievous streak.
Your eye is most discerning! What I like most about that touch is the fact that, underneath the white shawl Maya wears in this version of her costume, the vast majority of her outfit is purple, hints of which you can see in the baubles hanging from her hair and the little band which holds together her topknot. It's a colour I think contrasts well against her stark black hair and it's quite nice how Jeff (perhaps even unintentionally) maintained the impression that the central colour of her outfit is purple, even if there's barely any purple clothig in the illustration!
I didn't know that! Very gratifying indeed that he managed to get a pretty good idea of the nature of her character with even a cursory glance lol
As much as I adore this page, I confess (as you well know) that as much as I profoundly respect Mr. Brown's attention to detail and love of schematics... I cannot wrap my head around the baffling nature of the architecture of this building. Not necessarily his fault, but still ;)
A remarkable number of similarities between this game series and that film, so I've heard, even though I admit I've never watched the movie. Perhaps someday.
