Dawnstar and Shrinking Violet Commissions Owner: mark Tamborski Comment posted on 1/29/2010 Attractive combination of two underrated Legionnaires. You may, though, want to think about how that acidic newsprint from the clipped-out panels can affect the commissioned drawings they're touching. You can avoid damage by scanning those panels, printing them out on acid-free paper, and replacing what you've used in the frame. |

Legion of Super Heroes - DPS Owner: Bobbo Licious Comment posted on 4/9/2009 A delightful mix of Legionnaires from various eras, and it evokes the current crossing-over of such eras in "Legion of Three Worlds." I like their clear, direct linework ... and those optimistic faces! |

Gil Kane - Worlds Unknown p5 Owner: Rob Steen Comment posted on 12/14/2008 Oh, how I love this story, ever since I happened to find a well-worn "Worlds Unknown" #1 several years ago. And you have two pages of the original art, you lucky dog. Gil Kane took Edmond Hamilton's story, one of forceful emotion and lyrical writing, and masterfully condensed it - visually and verbally. ... Those seeking the color story may want to look into "Pteraphiles" (wing-lovers) at Yahoo! Groups ... |

00 Steel winged fairy-caution NUDITY Owner: Alexander Breunig Comment posted on 12/14/2008 I don't see anything wrong with her anatomy. She's in mid-air, twisting with the wind currents - some elements being stretched are to be expected. The steel feathers (perhaps only in appearance?) would be more of a difficulty. I see a lot to like, though: She has a definite sense of self-awareness, she has well-proportioned wings, and she has TAIL FEATHERS, which are refreshing to see and are usually omitted! |

Hawkgirl & Dawnstar Owner: Mark Coon Comment posted on 10/9/2007 Well, I bought this from Mark, from its being dramatically posed, with well-turned faces and bodies. (And from doing so well to get the four wings into such a space!) I don't see any real foreshortening problem. Its perspective point is off the page, and they're oriented well to it. I may, though, mount it upside down! {grin} |
