Well, some are commissions and some are just pieces I bought. Rodel told me once that some clients are very specific about what they want while others are not (I'm one of the specific tpyes). I just wanted to know if there are people who tell him what character they want and say "surprise me"!

Of that I have no doubt! Still, from a business standpoint, Randy should have had most (if not all) of these done before he even put them up for sale. I've been buying from Randy since 2001 so I know he's slow, but it doesn't matter to be because I'm a very patient person and I know he delivers quality work. But eight months is kinda LONG, don't you think?

Beautiful! I have the original artwork from the high school parking lot "scene" when Ariel & Perry see eachother for the first time. Wouldn't it be great to see those two pieces of art together!

I remember Randy had these books for sale on his website back around 2002 or so. You could get him to do a sketch for just a few dollars more.....I opted for a standard black cover 'cause it was a little cheaper......and now I want to kick myself for doing it!

Hey Enrico. I heard this was part of Randy's "Never to be sold" collection because it was the first piece of Darkchylde art ever drawn......that partial reproduction recently seen on eBay was probably as close as anyone will get. But who knows? Maybe I'm wrong. It is a great piece, though!
