Death to Fables by Justine Frany Owner: Matt Kennedy Comment posted on 8/27/2025 Never would have thought to commission Frany to homage a James Jean cover, but it works beautifully. Her style works really well with the dreamlike quality of the original cover, and it's also able to stand on its own merit even without the homage. Congrats! |

Katchoo in a black dress Owner: Jeremiah Avery Comment posted on 8/27/2025 Another lovely piece by Terry. Love the frame break with her leg crossing over the lower frame, like she's stepping out of a picture frame. Congrats! |

Tokyo Ghost Romance Scene with Led Dent and Debbie Decay Owner: Ben Lee Comment posted on 8/16/2025 Great commission idea, and love how Sean worked colors into this to give it that brightness that fits the world (yet stands out from it). His color commissions are a fun addition to the menu, and it's nice seeing a more quiet, emotional scene in a commission. Congrats! |

Manix Abrera - Fantastic Four #1 Cover Re-Interpretation Commission (2025) Owner: Stephen F Comment posted on 8/16/2025 Classic cover that lends itself well to a Manix recreation. Congrats! |

X-Men #8 pg08 (Iconic Psylocke Moment) Owner: Carl Choi Comment posted on 8/10/2025 Everyone loves the splashy first panel, but the second to last one with Psylocke's side glance makes the page for me. Also, I'll forever wonder what this would have looked like with Scott's inks. In any case, huge congrats on the massive pickup! |

Carmen Carnero - Cyclops & Jean Grey Modern Owner: Nick Forst Comment posted on 8/10/2025 Absolutely beautiful commission! Love what Carmen does with her color work, especially drawing the lines in colors to help give it that ethereal look. I'm on the (long) waitlist, so fingers crossed I get the call for a commission spot. Huge congrats! |

Scott Pilgrim and the Infinite Sadness Back Cover - Envy Adams Owner: Casey A Comment posted on 8/10/2025 Lovely pickup to add to your Scott Pilgrim collection! And it almost works as a companion piece to the SDCC print since she was left out of that lineup. Congrats! |

John Byrne--Uncanny X-Men #137 Cover Recreation (2007) Owner: Bill J Comment posted on 8/10/2025 Surprisingly, I haven't seen many of Byrne's X-Men recreations show up on CAF lately, but this is one of his biggest ones. Love the hand-drawn logos/head shots, and he managed to fit in his own touches to make this feel like more of an epic piece. I actually picked up one of his few interior page recreations, and while I'd love a Byrne/Austin original, it's also a far more affordable way of owning a Byrne X-Men Phoenix Saga page. Congrats on the pickup! |

X-Men 8 page 7 by Jim Lee Owner: Giacomo Iori Comment posted on 8/10/2025 Rogue's face makes me think that Thibert inked this page (she looks more like how I've seen in his inks rather than Jim's or Scott's), but congrats on the pickup! |

Scott Pilgrim Gets It Together, promo art Owner: Benjamin Simpson Comment posted on 7/28/2025 Fun layout, and now we know who's on Scott's mind... Congrats! |

Uncanny X-Men 19 Variant Cover J Scott Campbell Magik Cyclops Emma Frost Owner: Brian Lake Comment posted on 7/26/2025 Congrats on picking up a JSC X-Men cover! Magik is the star of the show here, but he does Emma justice too with her black outfit. |

Joe Madureira - Uncanny X-Men 325 - page 26 - Storm Owner: Carlo M Comment posted on 7/26/2025 Heritage had it attributed to the wrong issue, so I wouldn't be surprised if they got the inker wrong too. I don't know Matthew Ryan's inks well, but it did look more like Tim's inks (though not quite), which at least matches the stamp. Either way, there are some great shots of Storm here, especially that top one with her face hidden in shadows. Congrats on the pickup! |

Death & Fables by Daxiong Owner: Matt Kennedy Comment posted on 7/26/2025 Inspired commission choice! I feel like I've seen a couple other commissions of Death cosplaying as another character, and it's a fun take. Also love the suble nod to the Fables #1 cover (assuming it was one of the references). Congrats! |

Renato Oak - Jean Grey Owner: Michael Elpers Comment posted on 7/26/2025 Love the design of the outfit, almost like a reverse kimono? Either way, inspired use of vertical lines/strokes throughout the piece; would not have expected it to work, but it gives it a unique flair. Congrats! |

Jeff Smith’s Bone a Star Wars homage Owner: D J Comment posted on 7/26/2025 Huge congrats! I tried to get one of the commission spots but missed out in the mad rush. Never would have thought to mash up Bone with Star Wars, but it works. |

Action Comics #677 Title Splash feat. Supergirl and Lex Luthor by Guice Owner: S Riz Comment posted on 7/26/2025 I only noticed Butch Guice through his later Marvel work with Ed Brubaker but really appreciated his linework (but somehow never tried to chase down his older work... might have to rectify that now). This is just a perfectly rendered page from the hair, the folds in the clothing, the shading, the body language, and the expressions on their faces. Huge congrats on the pickup! |

James Jean 2003 painting, fallen angel, dissection Fables Owner: Matt Dicke Comment posted on 7/26/2025 It's pretty awesome you got to spend time with James in the early days before his career took off. I agree that his painted/mixed media pieces look more interesting than his sketches (not that I've ever seen any of his originals in person), and congrats on getting to pick up something you've been chasing after for so long! |

Green Lantern #144 cover by Perez | Conservation by Von Hawk Owner: Tom McDonald Comment posted on 7/4/2025 Congrats on landing a grail and on the restoration work! Though I'm not convinced this post isn't a subtle suggestion to go watch the new Superman film. :) |

Ramona Flowers (and Scott Pilgrim) - Mike Maihack Owner: Casey A Comment posted on 7/4/2025 I remember when Mike posted this, so this is quite a gift. And welcome to the Maihack fan club! His watercolor pieces are lovely, and he captured Ramona (and Scott) here well. Congrats! |

Terry Moore Rachel Rising 25 Pg 7 Zoe blowing up rats! Owner: Nando Xavier Comment posted on 7/4/2025 Nice seeing this up on CAF. I love the whole sequence with Zoe and the rat, and this was one of the few pages I wanted to go for in the series. Congrats! |

Dazzler by Dan Panosian Owner: Steve Day Vich Comment posted on 7/4/2025 That's a great Dazzler, but the hand drawn logo/effects might be my favorite element of the whole piece. Congrats, and glad it all worked out in the end! |

Jeff Dekal - Elektra Owner: Malcolm Bourne Comment posted on 7/4/2025 Love Jeff's art and how it feels like something out of a fashion shoot. The splash of color is great, and the intensity in her eyes is just superb. Congrats! |
Magik Owner: Ryan “Jabo” Jablonski Comment posted on 7/4/2025 Congrats on the pickup! I've slowly been really impressed by Carmen Canero's color work, and this is a great example that highlights her use of non-black border lines. |

Sean Murphy Tokyo Ghost #4 pg.2 Owner: Joe A Comment posted on 7/4/2025 Loved Tokyo Ghost and the relationship between Led and Debbie, and this is a sweet moment between the two of them. Huge congrats! |
Tokyo Ghost #9 p.21 Owner: Paul Martini Comment posted on 7/4/2025 As much as I love the techno-futuristic world of Tokyo Ghost, the heart and soul of the story is the relationship between Led and Debbie, and this is a lovely moment between the two of them, featuring the sequential emotional storytelling that Sean excels at. Huge congrats! |

Snow White from Fables by Mark Buckingham Owner: John Popa Comment posted on 6/28/2025 I feel weird commenting since I own two pages (and love them) with Snow White wearing this dress, but I love the idea of having Mark's take on it. Lan Medina did a great job with it, but a Mark Buckingham version of the first arc is an interesting Fables "what if". Congrats on completing your Fables dream commission! And the scene isn't complete with the floor design, so glad to see Mark worked it in. |

J. Scott Campbell--Amazing Spider-Man #1 Variant Cover (2014) Owner: Bill J Comment posted on 6/26/2025 Beautiful J Scott Campbell Spidey cover! One of the missed opportunities in comics is never getting to see his run on Spider-Man, and his covers tease what could have been. Also love the tiger Easter egg. Huge congrats! |
X-Men #17 p.24 Owner: Paul Martini Comment posted on 6/24/2025 Lovely Kubert X-Men page (and from early in his run when art still had word balloons). Congrats on the (nostalgia-fueled) pickup! |
Batwing Commission by Manix - Comic Art Fans Mystery Sketch Owner: Robert Layne Comment posted on 6/24/2025 Such a specific commission request, and of course, Manix did it well. Is the moon in glow in the dark paint, by any chance? I know he experimented with that for a bit, and this piece would be perfect for that. Congrats either way! |
Fantastic Four #525 COVER by Jim Cheung & John Dell, 2005 -- The whole team in a heroic pose against an appropriate backdrop! Owner: Paul P Spiderversity Comment posted on 6/24/2025 Technically, you still don't have a volume 1 FF cover- this was from volume 3 (they reverted to the original numbering again for issue 500 during volume 3, but the Heroes Reborn volume 2 stuff still counts). But that doesn't change the fact it's a great Cheung FF cover, so congrats! |
Rogue & Gambit by Jim Lee Owner: Jul-Kha T Comment posted on 6/24/2025 Too cool! It's only a sketch, but love the personality he put into these two (that snarl by Rogue is just perfect). Congrats, and thanks for sharing! |
Thorn Proto-Bone Illustration by Jeff Smith featuring Thorn, Fone, Phoney, and The Great Red Dragon (via Kickstarter) Owner: C. G. Comment posted on 6/24/2025 Ooh, I didn't know you got in on this too! It was a very fortuitous mixup for some art collectors, and glad you were able to get one. Congrats, and love how the final version turned out with the fire! |

Elektra #1 pg. 3 (1996) - Elektra Owner: James S Comment posted on 6/24/2025 Love the silhouette action at the top and the full body shot at the bottom with its dynamic lighting. Absolutely great example of Deodato's Elektra run, and can't believe I missed this during CAL. Congrats on the pickup! |
Snow White and Bigby Wolf from Fables by Mark Buckingham Owner: Jimmy Lawrence Comment posted on 6/7/2025 I will never tire of seeing Snow hugging wolf Bigby, and this illustration isn't breaking that pattern. Love the tenderness on display here, congrats! |

X-Men 2 Page 6 (Marvel, 1963) Owner: Max Raskin Comment posted on 6/7/2025 Great Kirby X-Men example (from issue #2 no less)! That last panel with snowy Iceman is such a fun scene. Huge congrats on the pickup! |
Rogue by Esau & Isaac Escorza Owner: A Williams Comment posted on 6/7/2025 Not sure how I missed this one, but love the colors on this one (the different shades of brown that contrast with the jacket are fantastic). Congrats on the CAL pickup! |
Camelot 3000 w/ "Bloody Marvelous" Austin inks Owner: Tom McDonald Comment posted on 6/7/2025 Bolland/Austin is a powerhouse duo, and as much as it stings to sell a page from your first comic, I think it was worth it for this page. Congrats! |

X-Men 100 final page. The death of Jean Grey and birth of Phoenix. Owner: Fisch Benz Comment posted on 6/7/2025 Such a historic and emotionally-charged page that set up the X-Men series for years/decades. Huge congrats on adding this to the collection! |

Nextwave 11 Owner: Ben H Comment posted on 6/7/2025 I wish the Nextwave covers were more finished, but I will never not see this Civil War-era layout and picture the plaid bottom half and the sign mocking Mark Millar. Such a fun cover and one of my favorites from the run (and I'll take Nextwave any day of the week over Watchmen and Dark Knight Returns). Congrats! |
