Cool Bone crossover with Stray Dogs and Feral! I know Baltimore does the tribute yearbook each year, but this just shows I really need to pay attention to what gets published in that yearbook. Congrats!
I guess I'll have to settle for only three then... Looking forward to it!
Another cool piece of AoA character design work that hasn't been seen before. Of course, now I'm expecting you to have all of Joe's character designs for the other members of the Astonishing X-Men team. :)
Striking image of her putting on lip gloss as paint runs down her cheek. Great way of mixing the eccentric and the mundane. Congrats!
Rat smash puny Hulk! Congrats on picking up a Trimpe Hulk cover!
Go to sleep, go to sleep, go to sleep...
I know you waited a while for this one, so nice to see the waitlist finally paid off. I think you can safely cross owning a Larraz piece off the list now (and you got a color piece!). Congrats!
I can see duoshade paper being helpful here to add shading/texture for the concrete wall, but it's still unexpected. Congrats! And sorry to hear about the scare with your mom but glad to hear she's doing better!
Another Joe Mad gem surfaces! Now I'm curious what other unique pieces you have from Joe just lying around the vault...
And I checked, and these were also used in the corner boxes on #351, 352, and 354-356 after Joe had left the title.
Nice to see the Acme rope dispenser is working as intended. They're nothing if not a reliable brand.
Great image of Rogue and Gambit in their wedding attire, and Campbell really gives them an elegant flourish for the occasion. Congrats!
Absolutely loved Joe's Age of Apocalypse designs, and Rogue was one the highlights. Hard to believe he was so young when he did all this. Congrats, and thanks for sharing!
So cute, and a great example of how Chris and Chrissie's styles can mesh together. Congrats!
I normally don't like such rough/distinct lines with color pencils, but it really works here. Also dig the purple to contrast her green suit. Congrats!
Love how cute this turned out (which Chrissie excels at). Got to see this in person at OAX, and it was lovely. Congrats on the pickup!
I'm a sucker for panels that show multiple figures to convey motion, so that fourth panel is golden for me. Ended up not bidding on any from this set, but this was one of my favorites from the second half. Congrats!
She's living on his mind, rent-free. Throw in subspace travel, and she's got a pretty sweet living/commute situation. Such a fun image though, congrats!
Bone originals that aren't just sketches are rare to find in the wild, and this is a cool crossover of different (cartoonist) characters to boot. Congrats!
Another great Senescence pickup for the collection! Love her glare and all the lighting effects on display here. Congrats!
It was nice chatting with you at OAX, and I'm now a fan of Senescence after hearing about him from you (and checking out other pieces of his). I'll be getting a commission from him, so thanks for the introduction to his work!
So cute, and each one has their own distinct personality too. Congrats!
Congrats on adding a Perez Infinity Gauntlet page to the collection! And it's great that it captures the Thanos/Death relationship so perfectly (that fourth panel speaks volumes with its silence/blank space).
Another great Morales embellishment of a piece by Mike. At this rate, you're gonna need a separate gallery for these Wieringo/Morales collabs. Congrats!
Don't see too many pieces by Mirka with fully colored backgrounds, so this really feels like an immersive moment. Loved this episode from the show, and she captured this scene perfectly. Congrats!
Even though it's all only pencils, you can see the eye that Pepe has for action and storytelling on this page. Congrats!
Peach Momoko almost seems like a perfect fit for Usagi and the world Stan Sakai created. Fantastic cover, congrats!
Epting Cap covers don't come up for sale very often, and this was a great one for a Winter Soldier-centric issue. Thought about maybe going for it, but this is in the right collection. Congrats!
Loved Dan's matching pair of covers with Dick and Babs, but swapped, and this was easily my favorite of the two with the classic looks (and Babs front and center). Congrats!
Loved X-Men vs Street Fighter, and this is a really cool commission idea that Moritat nailed, especially with the color palette. Congrats!
It's not really summer unless Batgirl's sporting an inner tube. Love the fun vibe on this cover, congrats!
This was the arguably the best piece in the auction, congrats on the win!
Absolutely dig the trail of color from her scarf and how it transitions. Congrats!
Always a treat seeing Joe's early super-detailed linework. Thanks for sharing!
This might be the first full color piece I've seen by Dan, and no surprise that it looks wonderful. Congrats, and thanks for sharing!
Isn't double-A3 just A2? Anyways, lovely giant-sized commission by Simone, congrats!
Love that first panel and the contrast between the pencils and inks. Thought about going for this page but couldn't make it work at the time. Congrats on the pickup!
I didn't grow up with armored Psylocke but love how shiny she looks in Silvestri's run, to the point where I'd prioritize that in a Silvestri X-Men page (and briefly owned one such page). Anyways, she looks phenomenal here, and this is a great sequence of Psylocke showing off her battle prowess. Congrats!
Another victi... I mean, collector on the Maihack bandwagon!
So glad I got to see this in person, and it's a perfect match for Bryan Lee O'Malley's style. Congrats!
There are commission ideas, and then there are commission ideas. Congrats!
Love when Cheung goes dynamic with his layouts/designs, and this has that energy, even though it's essentially just a bunch of heroes posing on a cover. And the symmetry of poses on both sides is a fun little tidbit. Congrats!
I knew Nate Powell was at the show, and somewhere my brain made a connection to March, but it didn't make the full connection that he was the artist on the book, so I never even stopped by his table (another missed OAX opportunity). These pages all involve a lot of text yet do a great job of using the comics medium to keep it flowing and not make it feel like a monologue (even when it is). Congrats on three great pickups!
This is as solid an argument as any for "let Manix be Manix". Great example of his imagination, humor, and layout design. Congrats!
This was my favorite of all the promo images, but it took another collector for me to actually check out her art at the show. Always a fan of cartoony styles, and this does not disappoint. Congrats on the pickup!
When Alan had a special option/price level for an Excalibur team commission, I figured it would be something special, and he delivered here. Congrats!
Might be an unpopular opinion, but I prefer the layout on this to the finished piece. Either way, congrats!
There's some great inking and linework on display here, but if you're talking about a defeated and resigned Batman, that slumping Batman (in thin inks, like he's just faded into the background) in panel 2 says so much. Congrats on picking this up!
Great Larraz cover, and love the pose and facial expression on Psylocke here. Congrats on picking this up!
Love the narrative choice to end with a vertical panel, plus all the acting in the previous panels to highlight the relationship and emotion between Batman and Catwoman. Congrats!
Such a great Dell'Otto cover, congrats on the pickup!
Nice little moment between Storm and Wolvie, though they're oddly off-center. But the real travesty is how they completely removed the birds in the published version (curious why they were originally there, then removed... outside of changing it from a day to night scene). Still a nice pickup despite all that, so congrats!
