Grinberg always did a great job with the reflection on the Surfers body and the red outlines always made the page pop. I'm trying to recall other artists who use a similar technique.

The first issue really had a dark, gritty, crime noir feel that Brubaker is famous for. Epting's art, particularly the brooding nature of the visual storytelling really hit home with this shock end to the story. Likewise I have read the Winter Soldier storyline countless times. I have my favorite page from issue 1, but this is a strong second.
The contrast between MK and the mummies- on many levels - is striking.
