I didn't hear about the Rebirth Superwoman until after this piece was commissioned, so it's historical, timely *and* completely coincidental. :D
Cute and clever. What a way to celebrate your semicentennial!
Always appreciate seeing forgotten heroes from yesteryear getting some much-deserved attention. Looking forward to the continued reveal of this project!
Sensational storytelling on display here. I'm lovin' it!
Pete Woods rocks, even though woods and rocks are different things.
I like this a lot! Fun concept, and brilliant execution by Bowden. Congrats!
For whatever reason, Avengers #129 is among the covers I recall most vividly from this period. Isabedra more than does it justice -- he outflanks the original by a mile. OML triumphs again!
Fan-freaking-tastic! (I know, it's the Avengers, not the FF. But you know what I'm saying.)
Wicked awesome! It reminds me, in some respects, of the late, great Al Rio. Astounding degree of detail.
Aw... sad gargoyle. I guess I'd be sad too if Batman was kneeling on my neck. :D Cool piece, though!
Love Cully's work, and wish I owned more of it. Glad you own this one!
Another incredible OML, and that's no (Man-)Bull!
Stylish indeed! Although I guess that since it's McNiven OMLing his own cover, it should be in a special category of its own... Six Years Later!
That is both super and Skrully -- in the best possible way. Fantastic addition to the Throne Room!
Even when you think you can't bear to see another BoG, you can always bear a Kuder. ;)
To paraphrase the Rolling Stones: I know it's only a minimalist take, but I like it.
Frank Quitely? Really? Come on, OML Guy -- you are making it way too hard for the rest of us to keep up!
Here's one of those cases where the OML completely outstrips the original. Wellington shook it up, stirred it, and laid the smacketh down!
One of the cosmic laws of comic art: Anything drawn by George Perez does not suck.
As someone already commented, I'm not always a fan of Vigil's work. But he rocked this one solidly. Love the old-school Batman vibe.
A nifty treatment -- it's always cool when an artist comes up with a unique angle or approach.
I'm acutely acrophobic, but even I can admire this. Just not for too long, and from a safe distance. :)
Beautiful. Kitson does such gorgeous work, and this one is no exception. OML scores again!
One of my favorite Hulk covers transforms into an outstanding OML! Powerful storytelling here!
Bill Willingham? Seriously? Can I get your family to line up some commissions for ME?
As a gift, this beats the living heck out of ties and aftershave. :) Another simply amazing OML!
There isn't anything I don't like about this, other than the fact that you own it and I don't. :) One of my favorite BoGs!
The use of white space makes this one distinctive -- as though it were photographed during the split-second flash of a lightning strike.
Why did the Earth stand still? Because this Pete Woods artwork is stunning!
It's always cool to see an artist take a familiar theme and completely switch it up. Terrific addition to the BoGs!
