I totally agree with the 'pulp' feel comment. This would have mad ea great book cover to a pulp Batman novel.
Sadly, I think this is one of the weaker Byrne pieces I think you own. It's not bad, but his attempts to inject Kubert don't really seem to work for me.
Man, what happened to that pencil? This is a fun image. How many members of Byrne's JLA do you have now?
You know how I feel about much of Byrne's modern work, but man, he always nails the Hulk.
I like the Kubert as filtered through Byrne line work, but the pose kind of loses me.

This is put together perfectly. Great actiony Batman coming right at you and the 'strip' behind him is a great design element.
Rude's take on Batman maybe perfect, and the sharp, clean contrast of the black and white really make this.

Kubert's line work is never short of brilliant. I love this one. Especially the approach to the greyscaling.
I remember this one from some time ago. It's not a flawless drawing, but the feeling it conveys makes it great.
While not my favorite piece, it's a lot of fun to watch your collection of major JLA members grow.
