Heather McAdams says, “Zagor is best known for his booming battle cry, colorful fringed shirt, trusty tomahawk, and monster hits like El Diablo del Caribe, La Marcia della Morte, and Il Re delle Aquile. Even Sergio Bonelli once said, ‘There’s no greater jungle hero than Zagor.’ Over the decades, Zagor has headlined hundreds of comic issues, spawned spin-off and crossed paths with characters from Tex to Dylan Dog — cementing his place as Italy’s singing cowboy of Darkwood.”

Hey guys

Roberts been instrumental in getting me sketches by English, Scottish. Irish maybe even Welsh artists. I owe him much thanks. Funny thing is, even without me personally attending, when Robert gets wind of a good convention with solid artists, I'm happy as a clam if I've any spare cash to get items and get em signed and or sketched in.

Arguing online and debating are some of the least attractive. Sounds like those women do not like men who think for themselves.

Who defines Arguing online and debating as hobbies?

Not sure I want to date the women in that survey anyways. If they think pinup art collecting are is least attractive then they won't get past my living room.

San Diego Comic Con report: Sunday 2025

Today was a pretty chill day as most things we wanted to do were done by now. Nick and I arrived as the doors were already open so we strolled right in. He went to his table in artist alley and I started checking in on all my final pickups and started shopping for the final pieces I’d be getting.

My brother Andrew asked me to hit Top Cow for their limited Darkness amd Witchblade SDCC exclusive comics and his friend there with Too Cow hooked us up with 2 sets for he and I which was very cool of him. Then it was back to the artist alley aode again.

I hit Adam Hughes sketch line again and got a Roxy from Gen13 and the colored Poison Ivy from yesterday. There was no time for Allison to color Roxy still being her back to a different show later.

I hit up Jiggy Cruz and the boys at Next Comic Art and got a Savage Land Rogue by Ruvel Abril and commissioned a Chainsaw Man sketch card from Jim Jimenez for my son as it’s his favorite anime/manga title right now.

Then I hit up Felix Comic Art across from them and bought the killer Predator #2 cover by Jeff Shaw, another of Marvel’s “Storm Breakers” of 2025.

Down the way I found the booth for painter Lorenzo Sperlonga, who is currently doing covers for Heavy Metal Magazine among others. His oaintimgs were glorious but by Sunday my cash is on fumes. But he had a large prelim to his first commercial painting for “Degree 13” that features Traci Lords. I also bought a really nice limited print of the finished piece to have as a companion to the prelim.

Finally I checked on my commissions with David Finch and Arthur Adams. Finch was able to get my Savage Land Rogue done and absolutely crushed it, but Arthur wasn’t able to do many sketches so just like last year I went home empty handed for his art but I have a lot and will get more later so it’s all good.

All in all it was a good show where I got to see a lot of artist and collector friends, get a bunch of new art, and had a good time considering how fried I am from doing 3 major cons and driving across the US in a month. And I still need to drive back to Sacramento for a week and then back to South Texas. Don’t was bittersweet knowing it was my last San Diego Vomic Con after 20+ years of attending. But now I will be doing other annual shows like OAX and Heroes Con instead.

So thank you San Diego, you stay classy!
