Kubert is a god, and there he is, doing his signature character. You're a lucky man, Ari.
Very intense piece. I don't think there is any character that Byrne can't nail perfectly.
Very nice. The Asian style textures and the samurai sword fit well with the pose Batman is in.
Excellent piece. It captures the mood of the 70s Batman, like the works of Marshall Rogers and Dick Giordano.
If any artist in comics deserves the title of Living Legend, it is Joe Kubert. That is a magnificent example of his work. It takes a lot to make me jealous...but this comes close. Congrats on owning that piece.
Nice. I love the blurriness of teh background and the way the figure of Batman contrasts with it.
I don't recall seeing Leon's work before, but it reminds me of Gene Colan, which is a pretty big compliment.
Very nice page. Norm is a great Batman artist, and one of the nicest guys in the field of comics.
Rude's work always look incredible when he colors it himself. This looks like the very old Bob Kane Batman...except its drawn with the anatomy loooking human!
There will never be another Jack Kirby, but John Byrne comes closer than anyone else ever will.
I'll also agree with what Gerry and Ian said. Only Byrne seems to remember how to draw happy heroes anymore.
I like the attitude on Batman's face in this one. Serious, but not obsessive. A very Silver Age Batman.
Very nice. A classic Spider-Man with none of the silly exxageration that has become too common in many Spider-Man depictions of recent years. I love the shadow on the wall too.
Byrne is the greatest living Superman artist. Shuster...Boring...Swan... Byrne! The evolution of the world's greatest hero in 4 words.
I DO NOT want to be on the receiving end of that fist! Somebody just really pissed off the Batman!
John Byrne took some Kubert pills when he sat down to draw this one! That's the highest compliment I can give a Hawkman artist.
The face is perfect, like he's about to clobber someone, but still ready to make some classic Ben Grimm wisecrack!
That's the real Cyclops! The true leader of the X-Men, who keeps fighting, never giving up. It's not that whiny brat who keeps popping up in new X-Men comics.
Magnificent! Byrne is able to capture the feeling of any era of comcis history, whether he worked in comics at the time or not. I miss the old World's Finest comics.
That's one of the best Batman commissions I've ever seen! It captures the feeling of 70s Batman, but unmistakably in Rubinstein's style.
Reis is one of my favorite newer artists. This is an excellent piece, capturingthe essence of Batman in a very Colan way.
Ah...the ruthless early Batman, before Robin calmed him down a little. Nice work.
Wow! That is a beautiful piece! For some reason, I rarely think of Gulacy when I think of great comics artists, but yet whenever I see his work, I remember just how good he is!
Wow! Rude captures that late 60s John Romita vibe in this piece, with unmistakably Rude buildings in the background!
One of my favorite John Byrne commissions. If any artist who hasnt done it yet needs to do a monthly Bat-book, it's Byrne!
If Bob Kane hadn't invented the Batman, Gene Colan would have had to do it! Colan is the god of comic book shadows!
What a horrible loss Rogers' death was. What a great piece of art this is! He was a Batman Master!
