The True Story: See, George Perez is the artist on the critically acclaimed Brave and The Bold. Spidey wanted to team up in the title with Batman but Dick Grayson wouldn't hear of it. Spidey is Marvel and Batman is DC. So, Spidey challenged Grayson to a battle. If Spidey wins, Peter Parker gets to wear the Nightwing outfit and team up with Batman in an upcoming issue. Needless to say, beating Nightwing was easy -- he just webbed up Grayson's hands and voila --! He wins! Anyone who thinks anything else has a dirty, dirty mind (haha!). PS. Who knew Dick Grayson still wore his Robin undies beneath his Nightwing costume? Nostalgia!
