hi randall- the art itself has a 1983 datestamp on the back but this was originally slated to be seen in marvel premiere and was announced around 1978 in a letters page. you can see up in the upper left corner top that the words "marvel premiere" have a black line covering them up. this is very visible on the Marvel Fanfare issue 11 page 2 pic that i have in my gallery. This story sat until Marvel Fanfare was created- a lot of the stories in those early books were inventory stories sitting around.
what can i say? every once in a while, i throw people a curve...... maybe it's really a splitter......

The end of an era with this being George's last issue on the regular title for almost 20 years................... and this was a good adaptation of the novel that shooter wrote. congratulations!
