Cyclops sketch, 1979 Owner: Joe Murray Comment posted on 1/22/2026 As a kid reading comics, I was all about the buccaneer boots! Cap, Hawkeye and Cyclops! Interesting seeing Byrne's early inking, with very thin lines around the boots. His later inking wielded a thicker line overall. Congrats on this vintage X-ample! |

1987 CAPTAIN AMERICA v.s. THE MOB 'ORIGINAL ARTWORK' FOR THE MARVEL PUBLISHED POSTER Owner: joe kidd Comment posted on 12/31/2025 First, I'm glad you were able to finally post this online! Second, I'm glad you were able to verify the facts behind the piece. I've had my own experiences with so-called experts trying to spread false rumors about pieces I have owned without anything facts, just their opinions, which were incorrect. Thank you for showing me this grand piece in person! |

Great way to combine your love for sports and comics. Not being a New Yorker, I myself woud have chosen a different team/athlete. But still a cool personal piece. Both Adamses did a great job. Eric, I had asked Neal to draw this soon after Seaver had passed away in 2020, and revisiting this piece recently with newly added colors makes me appreciate it even more. |

Wow! Amazing! One of my favorite villains from the series, after Ratman, of course! :) I wish I had known about his commission list opening. Congrats my friend! Ruben, the seam I'm referring to is on her backside (a polite way of saying her butt), not down her spine. Her costume seam does wrap around her behind. |

Wow, Willingham's line is even more developed and refined than ever before, which is somewhat surprising because he rarely draws and "when you don't use it, you lose it.", as the old saying goes. Extremely impressive and so great to see new Elementals art from him! I, too, love see Morningstar being reflected in Chrysalis' knee. Did you notice though, that she's reflecting in costume, even though she's laying naked on the floor? People see what they want to see, Ruben. She clearly has her skin tight costume on, laying on the floor as evidenced by the seam of her costume going across her backside. |

Great choice. And from your photo, I see that you got one of the few with backgrounds. Already saw one other piece from these nine pop up on CAF. Wonder how many more we'll see. Anyway, gorgeous pencils by Frank. Congrats! Thanks Eric! Of the ones displayed on the wall I showed, the fact that this one had a nice complimentary background made my choice easier. Also, being sold with a custom frame at no added cost was enticing as well. |

Hellboy by Andy Brase (Happy Halloween!) Owner: E DLS Comment posted on 11/1/2025 I had commissioned Andy to do a Hellboy piece for me back in 2006, when he informed me thatt he had already done one Hellboy piece already, which was this one. He sent me a signed print of this piece which I still have. My commission was just as detailed, and I was so impressed that I gave him a down payment for 2 other commissions, one being an Alien piece. Sadly, he never delivered on them and I had to chase him for 6 years before getting refunded my down payments after threatening him with legal action. But congrats on this detailed piece. |

The Elementals by Bill Willingham and Joe DelBeato 1984 Owner: Rich Cirillo Comment posted on 3/14/2025
Bill J said:
What a stunning commission of the Elementals!! Gorgeous work by Bill Willingham and Joe DelBeato! The team has never looked better, not even at the height of their success. Such a beautiful group portrait of the four teammates as they display their powers while interrelating with one another. This is better than any of the covers of their books. It should have done as a poster for Comic Con or posted at loal comic book shops. Congratulations for your persistence in chasing this piece. I'm glad the long wait was finally rewarded and you were able to acquire your grail! Thank you Bill! I agree, it is one of the nicest Elementals pieces by Willingham and even more special that it was drawn around the time he was working on the book. It definitely is worthy to be a published piece in some form. It was a piece I thought about for many years, and I'm honored that the original owner entrusted me to add this to my collection after he owned it for so many years. |
