Like you, I loved the Marcos inked issues the most, the later run I didn't like as much. Although Rubinstein inked a beautiful issue in # 194.
One of the Best Cap splashes ever drawn! I love how the star on his chest has no shadows on it to stand out! Congrats on this iconic page!

Thank you, Kavi! This comic I can remember exactly where I was when I bought it and where I read it, as it had such an impact on my 10 year old mind. I felt Perez and Marcos were hitting on all cylinders by the Avengers 160's issues!

The pages from this issue in particular stand out in my brain, as this was the iconic Batman issue.
As a kid reading comics, I was all about the buccaneer boots! Cap, Hawkeye and Cyclops! Interesting seeing Byrne's early inking, with very thin lines around the boots. His later inking wielded a thicker line overall. Congrats on this vintage X-ample!
