The series was in publication before Star Wars episode 1 was going to happen. Christian came up with the idea that exar kin would have this double bladed lightsaber as a Jedi who had fallen to the dark side. When I met Christian I said it would be awesome to have both characters face-off against each other in a fight with the same weapon and he drew that for me. It was one of the first pieces of original art that I ever picked up. I got it at the same convention that I got my Michael turner superman super girl piece. |

Like Nicola, I grew up with Linda Carter as WW so that is how we both visualise the character. Nicola will admit that their are many artists that are better than her, such as Alex Ross, but Nicola has a great sense for story telling which a lot of other artists lack and is a fantastic illustrator.. She also nails her perspective stuff every time. Something other artists are more hit and miss on.. |
