Much thanks Shannon! I loved the Silver Age version, especially when drawn by Curt Swan!!!!!!!
I don't know who the actual artist is of this drawing but it sure as hell is NOT Dave Stevens. Someone needs to do an authentication check on the owner and straighten it out.
Much appreciated Shelton! I've always liked the brown look for Wolverine! Glad you like!
Well, Mike, I hope my delayed reply here hasn't given you pause to reconsider your kind comment!!!!! I know how hard it is for you to stand in deference to ME !!!!!!!! YES, BOW DOWN BEFORE ME YOU SLUG AND CRY "MERCY!" HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHA !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ......or just accept my thanks ...... either way is fine ............ :)
Thanks very much Lamont; I stand in deference to how Ditko did his effects but still had some fun with this one!
Thanks very much Jason! Best of luck in the auction! - Scott
Thanks again Brad! I wanted to also ask you if you know of anyone who would like a piece like this done for their collection? This one has sold already!
Thanks John! A really fun one to do; appreciate your time to post the nice comment. If you know of someone who'd like a similar treatment on a commission, please pass on my info! Thanks again!
Your kind words are much appreciated! It's a combination of my drawing, drafting and typography skills; all done by hand in homage to Kirby, Sinnott, Rosen, camera stat guys and all the other craftsmen that contributed to making those iconic covers. PS, spread the word that my asking price is completely flexible. ANY offers will be considered seriously! Thanks!
Thanks Johannes; it was done as a sample to a biker decal company but they said it didn't look enough like the imagery that appeals to bikers. Imagine! So, I said, "Have you BEEN to a biker event lately?" Skulls, swords, bats .... seemed like it fit to me. Ah well, the flighty nature of freelance....
Thanks, Drake. Yes, I'm kinda obvious. I'm far more adept with a pencil than I am with handling site management sign in boxes. - Scott Rosema
I love this drawing. Your sense of color is wonderful. Using sevaral types of green is a great way to make a green monster really 'GREEN". Try mixing them on top of each other next time. You have a special talent, Abraham. Keep at it, have fun doing it and be sure to ask for art supplies and art books for Christmas and birthdays! Looking forward to the next batch of drawings! - Scott Rosema, artist on Space Ghost, Batman Animated, X-Men, Shi, Spiderman cards, Xena cards, X-Men 3 cards, etc.
Great, great rendition of the Yellow Submarine! You've really captured the look, feel and colors. Your variety of interests and desire to practice is very encouraging to me! - Scott Rosema, artist on Space Ghost, Batman Animated, X-Men, Shi, Spiderman cards, Xena cards, X-Men 3 cards, etc.
Abraham, this is simply great! To come up with these monsters is just fantastic. And with the death ray coming out of the flying monsters eye, perhaps you could try to shade it in with all of your lines going in the same direction. For example you could have all of the lines going up and down. Try it in your next drawing. (Which I'm really looking forward to!) - Scott Rosema, artist on Space Ghost, Batman Animated, X-Men, Shi, Spiderman cards, Xena cards, X-Men 3 cards, etc.
Absolutely wonderful! You are doing exactly what all of us other artists do - learning from a master. I'm sure your dad has more Frazetta artwork he can show you. Plus, ask him to show you some other artists work. You can learn from every artist you study. (And you already know quite a bit!) - Scott Rosema, artist on Space Ghost, Batman Animated, X-Men, Shi, Spiderman cards, Xena cards, X-Men 3 cards, etc.
Very, very good Bat From Space! Wonderful imagination! My only suggestion is to make the Earth, the Sun and the Moon all different sizes. That would make the drawing even more terrific! You're on a roll, my friend! - Scott Rosema, artist on Space Ghost, Batman Animated, X-Men, Shi, Spiderman cards, Xena cards, X-Men 3 cards, etc.
I really like the extra detail you added to the skeleton, like the veins and black areas. And the overturned gravestone is where the skeleton came out of the ground, right? Perhaps you might want to add some spooky looking trees with no leaves. Good job! - Scott Rosema, artist on Space Ghost, Batman Animated, X-Men, Shi, Spiderman cards, Xena cards, X-Men 3 cards, etc.
Excellent drawing, Abraham! As a suggestion, I think you could make the wings on the purple people eaters even bigger. Also, ask your dad to get you whats called a "circle template" ; it's a drawing tool that can help you draw your moons easier. Keep up the great work! - Scott Rosema, artist on Space Ghost, Batman Animated, X-Men, Shi, Spiderman cards, Xena cards, X-Men 3 cards, etc.
This is an EXCEPTIONAL drawing, (as I might have mentioned before but i wanted to put it in writing) especially effective use of the pure white eyes. Very cool choice to go with no airbrush-like glowing effect on them; just a flat, empty white. Contrast that with the subtle oncoming light from the left as he's emerging from the dark at the right and you've got one seriously nasty peice of spooktime art!!!

Absolutely masterful drawing! One of your nicest peices I've ever seen and you've ever done. Just great design of the character, excellent composition, wonderful use of various textures (i.e.: the zig zag lines in the eyes plus the techno radiating lines from the planet plus the planet texture plus the chrome on the claws plus etc.), and really good anatomy. Just overall fantastic! You should do more, LOTS more, right along these lines. Carpe deim!
