I really enjoyed the work Colan did on those love comics when he was at Marvel, unlike the over exaggerated figures he did on the superheroes stuff. Unfortunately, those love pages are very hard to come by. When one does show up on the market, it's for a high price.
The writing and art were both outstanding in the Firehair series.

Unlike many of the full figure women Krenkel drew from his imagination, I believe this quick sketch was done while observing an actual model. It's no secret Krenkel attended live figure drawing classes at The Art Students League of New York during the 60s and 70s.
I think Colan and Everett worked well together, this page is a masterpiece.
Tom Palmer once claimed, Colan was the most challenging penciler he ever had to work with, and for good reason. Colan's work looks simple enough to ink until you try to ink it.
