I had the pleasure of drooling over this huge piece at the Spectrum Fantastic Art Live show! OUTSTANDING work! It cracked me up that Phil Hale criticized this piece, calling it a "sort of failure", lol. Congrats on a superb addition to your collection, Ash, and I wish YOU were at show! Cheers!

No comments? Wow, I've always adored Jose Garcia-Lopez and Dick Giordano's work on the DC style guide. All of their work was amazing and this one is no exception!

I definitely have to chime in with the opinion of Best Cover Ever. I've drooled over this piece for the majority of my life! Out of curiosity, is this piece oversized, or around 11X17? Thanks!

After seeing this, I had to dig up the actual issue! I also found the Superman annual that Alex and Terry did. It was really great getting to look at their collaboration! Out of curiosity, was this art done at 11X17, or was it at "print" size?

This page is from Batman & Robin. No All-Star. All-Star Batman & Robin was that train wreck by Frank Miller and Jim Lee. Great page from one of my favorite stories!
