If memory serves, this splash went up for auction at the Florida MegaCon around 1993 or so, and I was the high bidder until the winner overbid me, somwhere in the $400-500 range, which was a lot back then for a barely-a-decade-old page. It was definitely from ASM #252, and I *think* it was this page. Do you know its history? Maybe you were that high bidder! Anyway, it's a grail beauty for sure!

Hi John and thanks for sharing your story.  I was not the high bidder and didn't land this page until roughly 10 years later.
