Very cool, poor dog. Congrads on getting these pages. If you ever decide to part with them. Please keep me in mind.
Beautiful page! Congrads always loved those earlier issues of Rom the most. If you ever decide to part with this page. Please let me know.
I actually didn't like so many guest heroes in Rom adter #35 with Subby was ok. And I didn't mind Ant-Man either. I always rather seen more Toroedo and even had Rick Jones join the supporting cast uch earlier too. To me between #36-#45 it felt like rom was guest starring in his own title. Instead of staying more focusted on Rom, Starshine, Torpedo and Rick Jones. As well as the people of Clintonville, WV. It actually is in PA.
Great page congrads! Man I was so Pissed off at Bill for killing off Torpedo. I understood shaking things up but man. I couldn't believe he killed off brock. SIGH!
I agree I prefer your cover more then the original. If not the one you did the other could had also focused on Starshine new origin/design. With her gaving a solo cover titled rebirth or Starburist. But maybe the candy company might have filed yet another lawsuit. Was always a huge Torpedo fan too sigh.
Very cool congrads! Was always a big fan of Rom.
Very cool one of the last gems to me. That Marvel put out in 1997. I thought Ktle Hotz really grabbed the Ditko look.
Congrads! Beautiful prelim, one of my all time favorite Spidey covers too. And we don't even get to see Spidey's face either.
Very cool, I bought every issu of all the MNU titles in 86-88. But only really liked like five of them. nightmask I remember enjoying. Liked Starbrand, DP7 and like two others. i can't recall their titles off hand right now. Loved Rom Spaceknight back then too.
GROOVY! I was ten days shy of turning 18. When Rom #1 hit the local newsstands/ LCBS in Milwaukee, WI. Great Score!
Loved Cobalt Blue! I picked up two issues off eBay around 2013. I had them new as a kid in the 70's. As far as I know there was only two issues way back then. Congrads so cool!
Beautiful piece congrads! Always loved ROM.
Awesome piece. I actually was set up to have John do a recreation of Nova #1 for me too. I lost his mailing address. The day I check for it. I saw he had passed away in Jan of 2002.
Ya I know what ou mean. I wish I had known about original comic art from 79-mid 80'. When I had some decent cash. I'm collecting art from Marvel Preview #9 Man-God. By Tony Dezuniga when I can.
Awesome Score! I was sad to hear of Tom's passing. Very shortly after I saw many of his Starman pages/covers.I believe up on eBay. I wish I had, had cash handy. I ould of like you swooped in and tried to buy up as much of it as I could. I loved his sharp clean simple pencils.
Great collection of Starman by Tom Lyle. Loved the early issues before the costume color change and before Tom left.
Beautiful page Mark! Gene was a great guy too. Miss talking with him as well as his beautiful art of course.
Very nice Mike's a huge Kirby fan. He used to come in our local store. Where I also worked part time. He loved to talk about Kirby.
Beautiful pg Eddie! Love both these great heroes too. Beautiful art by Sal as usual And Alfredo's inks always blew me away. Love the Hulk's face in the final panel too. Huge Congrads!
I made a mistake I owned a half pg. But I think it mainly only had Baron Strucker on it. I was/am a huge fan of Bucky and Colan's Easyrider era 1969-71 Capt.A. I think when I bought it through the mail unseen. I thought I was getting this pg you own. But it was another pg so I wasn't so happy after getting it. I was thinking it was a pg with Bucky. Hence the ne you own. Thanks for sharing it here for everyone to enjoy.
Just curious have you been able to find any of those remaining four pages. To your Super Boxers search yet? I'm still keeping my eyes open for you.
Beautiful page, I liked the first movie alot. I saw it in Dec of 79 when it first hit the theater screens. Great team on the first three issues too. Congrads!
Beautiful page was a George Perez, Joe Sinnott & FF for decades. Loved George's art since his very first work at Marvel. Doing Deadly Hands of kung Fu Sons of the Tiger/White Tiger and Man Wolf. I wish Joe had inked all of Perez's art on FF.
Nice Sal Buscema Rom page. Congrads! Always been a big fan of both.
I've gotten to know a few various Marvel Silver age artists. I got to know Gene Colan and Tony the most. Both were top artists and really warm friendly men. Tony signed all the pages I owned while he was still with us. His wife Tina was kind enough to pack them back up and mail them back two seperate times over the years.
Thanks I agree Gene was a really nice guy too. Who really enjoyed talking with his fans too.
WOW! Beautiful page! I remember buying it new. This is my second favorite Hulk vs Thing battle. Only FF #112 by Big John Buscema & old Jolt'in Joe Sinnot is better to me. Congrads!
Beautiful piece, ya Jerry did a great Batman and Capt.Marvel. Jer and I had the same art teachers. We went to the same high school. SHAZAM!!
HERCULES!! NUFF SAID! I didn't see the Hulk do that!!
KKKKKAAAANNNNGGGG!!! Always dug this guy, I was truly hoping he was going to be the next major villain in the MCU. Explaining why Ant-Man & the Wasp weren't in the original Avengers. The Invaders being MIA,etc. Congrads! Such a great page.
Beautiful piece! I loved the original X-Men since I first saw them in around 1968-70. Toward the the last year or two of the original run.
Thanks! That's right I forgot his name. I've never seen that original painting anywhere. I wish I could at least get a scan of it.
Beautiful piece! Pablo like TonyDeZuniga. Was both a great artist/inker/painter. Stunning piece a shame Marvel never used it on any other issues as the cover. Or even as a poster insert. I guess most those covers were by Boris, Earl Norem,Neal Adams and a few others! Does anyone know who painted the cover to Vampire Tales #3 with Morbius, a hot blond and some cult guys in the back ground in a cemetary. Thank you for sharing this gem with us.
I used to own this page but it wasn't signed when I did.Congrads!
Congrads! I used to own this page. I actually repaired the missing sign on the keep out barrier top left. I xeroed it off a page from the actual comic. I enlarged it to 11 x 17. Made a few copies at Kinkos then used a exo knife to cut it out and pated onto the page. Hence why it's not inked and a bit out of focus. If I had had the cash. I would of had a pro redo it for me professionally. Since it really isn't art but just a simple lettering repair job. The original was missing when I got the page.
Awesome page I loved this story. Va did a stunning job on this story.
Beautiful page always loved Hercules. If you ever decide to part with this pg please let me know.
Beautiful page congrads. Thanks for sharing it with all of us to enjoy seeing it. If you ever decide to part with it. Please let me know. Always loved Sal and Rom too!
EPIC Kirby piece! I loved his Eternals at least the first 12 issues. Congrads! If I won it big $ I'd make you offer on this gem.
WOW! So very cool! The whole issue too. I was already a older fan when Rom first hit the stands & LCBS. I had literally just turned 18. I bought every issue and even had like a sentence of my letter published. LOL I bought most of this series all over the US and world from like #29 on while I was globe trotting in the Marines.Congrads very cool.
Beautiful page inked by Mike Royer. It was great to see Kirby's actual Superman face for a change. If you ever think of parting with this page. Please let me know. Congrads!
Great idea for a commission, beautiul piece and great story. A real tear jerker.
Loved, love this series beautiful art as usual by Gene Colan and superb inks by Tom Palmer. Very cool page the first thirty plus issues were the best of this series to me. Besides TOD #50 and the son of Dracula issues.
