About a month later, out of the blue, this Sunday original showed up in my mailbox. Folded into thirds. https://www.comicartfans.com/gallerypiece.asp?piece=260851
Glad to give this piece a great new home, from my collection to yours!
I'm trying to figure out who is Terry and who is Frankenstein!
Now if Mark could find time to do a Flash Gordon Sunday to compliment the Prince Val! Great piece. Frame it and display with pride!
Hummm....tale sounds a little fishy, Ray. But I'll believe it. Now quit talking so much so I can really absorb Ms. Bettie before she completely turns invisible!!
I like what the "faded marker" brings to a piece. The offside is keeping it from fading more. Great pickup!
It has found a good home. Winston is a fellow Wonder Woman fan!
This is one character I would love to see Rich actually draw!
Looks like a creepy coloring book cover, or program art. Didn't the circus winter in Spring Green area? Lots of circus stuff seems to turn up in Wisconsin.
Truly gorgeous. Glad it's birthday & Christmas. First thought it was just the special day and I didn't think you were aging THAT fast!
From my home, Ray, to yours! Know it has found a place for proud display, care and lovingly viewing!
Glad it found a good home. Quite a collection of Vampi's!
Wonderful, wonderful story. You will always rememebr this incident and your grandfather because of it. Frank Cho is a fabulous guy -- he's being torn every which way by fan boys these days, but he is a human being and cares! Plus, your hubby! He's a keeper!
Truly unbelievable piece. You got it at a great price. And can now say it is a "world travelled" piece of art.
This is one magnificent piece. So nice when the artist will work on it (a little more for the better) at home. Good score! - Joel Thingvall
Still got mine, too....although I did use the ketchup! The irony was that the postage to send this item was infinitely more than the actual bottle of slop would cost, not to mention packaging. I was a little worried at first, thinking it may have been the drained blood of the convention chairman or something in the bottle. But...it tasted like ketchup. Joel Thingvall, www.wonderthing.com
Same thing happened to me with my son for a ride at Valley Fair, Waited in line for half-an-hour, he decided "no" right when we were about to board, and that stood on the bridge watching others go on the ride that splashes down into this pool and covers those on the bridge with water. My daughter was furious because she was too short to go on the ride (by a couple of inches) plus others at Valley Fair -- she was the family daredevil. Nice Bill Keane pick-up! This is a definite gem. Always nice to get ghosted work to compliment your original artist work from a strip. And Pitt -- well, he's hard-to-find and does beautiful stuff in the Raymond (Williamson) mode. -- Joel Thingvall, www.wonderthing.com
