I'm hoping Elisabetta inks Star Wars for a long time!
Certainly seems like it would be worth the ask, especially if the shipping was guaranteed in two parsecs or less.
From an unpublished What If...? tale exploring an alternate Uncanny X-Men new team that included the Beatles in issue #96 - "A Hard Day's Night of the Demon!"
The world will be a better place when Fred replaces this card with the real deal!
Speed Racer, then Star Blazers, then Robotech, my gateway shows into Japanese anime. So this is a fun one to see.
Tessek and 21-B sounds like the makings of a SW buddy cop series. I like it.
Love this page! The Nomi Sunrider story arc staged so much EU material later on, particularly around her daughter Vima. It may be about time to circle back for a re-read of these issues. It has been a while for me.
I felt Jim did a fine job stepping in for Cam on the third series, although critics at the time really knocked the transition. Like so many color pieces, scans of these don't do them justice. Glad to see it posted up in its new home!
These DH minis really spiced up a somewhat cool looking action figure who otherwise just stood around in RotJ. Definitely a fun read, and the art team of Gulacy and Emberlin was icing on the cake.
I think ANH Leia is always my favorite Skottie Star Wars.
Yep, it is a Skottie, but that Boba sure seems like he was channeling a little bit extra of his inner Sergio as well. A real nice one!
Hmm... today I'm feeling a top seven - Artoo-Deeto (always #1), Space Gary, BB-8, Babu Frik, Zorri Bliss, Rey, Tallie Lintra.
Perfect artist pairing with a classic comic moment, 10 out of 10.
There is a little bit of universal kismet there, I agree!
A little reworking of the coloring to make it look more Hoth-like and this would be a fun holiday card.
This issue had a number of covers, and as published this one didn't grab me at all. But here, I like it more than the primary cover that Noto did. Nice pick up!
Neel is part of Skeleton Crew, the newish Disnet+ series. And yes! Neel, Babar, and Max Rebo from Jabba's palace are all interstellar cousins.
Jesse's really built out quite a resume since this annual. I love that Jesse's website opens by stating it is "A place of robots, spaceships, and psychic happenings." My kind of place!
I'm commenting in place of Keith. Still a great page! The color transitions from top to bottom make this a standout page from the story.
The powers that be could easily do a TV series set post-The Acolyte focused on Qimir and Darth Plagueis (abandoning all the other plot lines with any of the Jedi), and that also time jumps forward casting a new actor as a young Sheev Palpatine as Plagueis' newly annointed apprentice Darth Sidious set long before The Phantom Menace. They could also do it in comic form, but I'd prefer to see Manny back on screen.
Hardcore! Sure, there's the Superman/Spider-Man crossover. But, I think what we need is a Threadbare/Josie and the Pussycats crossover. Sure to sell millions!
"I'm looking for-ward...to having some real TALK...with some real FOLKS." -- Matt (Kylo Ren)
Is that one of the 88 beasts at his feet in the last panel? Or the Allosaurus from The Valley of Gwangi?
I still prefer the puppet to the digital, and this one certainly channels his inner Muppet.
One must respect Harley holding shopping bags in the same fashion one would an approaching Samurai with a drawn sword. Lovely page, congrats!
I wasn't aware, probably a bit of a faux pas then advocating frogs as cuisine on their special day.
Derek was truly OAX Santa 2026, dropping goodies with all the collector boys and girls. His heart was 3 times larger, and his bag 3 times lighter going home.
You know, that kinda does look like Miss Sharon in panel 7. Huh, Anthony might be right. A lovely page either way!
Ooh, I haven't checked in on what Brandon's been doing in a good long minute. Time to scroll his site for artful wonders new and old.
Maybe we'll get lucky and old school Slurpee cups will hit stores for the Mandalorian and Grogu flick in May!
Love when Fred reminds us of bygone characters! This is a Harvey crew I don't recall at all. Sweet.
Marcus you are always awake and commenting. I am convinced you are the Watcher assigned here to Earth-1218.
You can get cheese legs, bacon legs, chili legs, and barbecued legs, c'mon down and dine at the sign with the bright green legs!
K'Kruhk's return in Legacy was just the right bridge to tie the Clone Wars era and the Legacy era together. And he also brought back an old friend to the Skywalker clan, Artoo!
A blink and you'll miss him denizen of Jabba's court in Return of the Jedi.
