Issue 117 The Winds of Aka-Gaar is my other favorite. I want a page from that one but I can't find even a sniff of those pages hahaha

I know I've seen a few of those pages over the years. The fronstpiece with the giant scorpion I think was on Ebay in the last 2-4 years. I definitely saw it at auction. I'm a big fan of Kwapisz art on SSOC. Luckily his art is generally affordable.

Probably the best single story in SSOC. It's the one I remember the most from back in the day. Along with the Valley of the Howling Shadows that ran through a number of issues.

This is a great piece. I remember seeing this magazine as a kid and then hunting it down as an adult not remembering the name of it.

Issue #16 was my favorite issue as well. Overall the Marvel BG series wasn't that great but this was definitely a great issue and one of the highlights of comic youth.

This page also came up for sale I think about a year ago. I own a few earlier pages and this is one of my favorite issues. I wish it wasn't yellowing so much or I would have bid. It would interesting if you could peel off the bottom panel to see what the original artwork looked like.
