The battle sequence which starts with this page is one of the best drawn is X-Men history I think. Fantastic splash by an artist at the top of his game that's for sure. On top of that we have storm Storm with a Mohawk!

This is a super cover but you know what I love the most on it? The corner box - these were the x-men of my youth when I finally managed to get a regular subscription of the title arranged. Any issue with this corner box art (cockrum?) really gets the nostalgia flowing for me. Thanks for posting this - just great to see it

Beautiful piece of art and history. I think there is no other road chosen at a crossroads that has had more influence on Marvel that the death of Jean Grey in Uncanny X-Men 137. Thanks for sharing and acting as custodian to this wonderful page
