Incredible. I'm not a huge Ken Kelly fan, but he knocked it out of the park on this one. I fondly remember this cover as well. Very powerful design, concept, execution, pun intended. The story was powerful as well. A great piece of art!

This is amazing, realy one of the most beautiful paintings of childhood innocence ever created. I wonder what Mary Cassatt would have thought of this painting. She would have loved it! An absolutey timeless transcendant masterwork. Congrats on a huge and highly important pickup!

This is absolutely beautiful! I've always loved this painting by Frazetta, and wished he had done more historical and realistic type paintings like this, he really excelled at this sort of thing. This preliminary painting is just superb, I'm sure it's tough to capture all the nuances, details, and sublime energy in a mere scan. Congrats on a wonderful pickup!
