This issue has easily been the best of the crossover issues so far. Loved all the callbacks to Morrison's previous works, and Mora hit it out of the park. Great page, congrats!
Gorgeous. Quitely paints are so good I wish we had more interiors with them. If only time didn't exist, right?
Quitely is sublime as always, but I wanted to shoutout Stokes' inks as well. He compliments Quitely's pencils better than anyone else I've seen. Congrats!
Best Dynamic Duo ever. And Dick and Damian aren't too bad, either!
I never noticed the silhouette at the bottom right corner foreshadowing the what was about to happen. Such a great page from the best Batman run of all time. Thanks for sharing!
Very cool to see him revisit arguably his most popular image twenty years later. Congrats!
The oval bat symbol design has always been my favorite. Quitely knocked this one out of the park. Congrats!
I used to own this one! Miss looking at it everyday lol. Glad it went to a good home, Congrats!
Backgrounds are usually kind of sparse in Quitely works, but when he takes the time like he did here it adds so much. Fantastic linework on the architecture. And the Superman isn't half bad either! Fantastic piece, thanks for sharing!
Love this book, and still regret not picking up the hardcover before it went out of print. Love Chris' gritty, dirty linework in the series and this page in particular. Thanks for sharing!
The Return... of the yellow oval. Loved the Inc costume and David's design for it. This page is sick, Congrats.
Love all the little details in architecture here. Doesn't get better than Quitely inking himself. Hope to get an example myself one day. Thanks for sharing this awesome one!
"There's always a way... and I prefer my way scrambled."
Always means more to have a memory attached to an already cool sketch. Thanks for sharing!
Love this. Hitch and Quitely's work on this book pioneered the widescreen comics that were popular in the 2000's and this is a great example. Thanks for sharing!
Gorgeous cover from my favorite comic ever. The movie is not too shabby either. Thanks for sharing!
Very cool callback to Frank's Earth 2 story and an excellent companion piece to your Superman commission. Quitely nailed Ultraman's smarmy expression. Congrats!
Might be the best Frank Quitely commission I've ever seen. Huge congrats.
Whoa. This is the first published piece from this series that I've seen out in the wild, and what a piece it is. Beautiful. Congrats on prying this from Frank's fingers!
"The whole world is watching us now. We must be nothing less than fabulous."
I remember Emma's speech here we'll. Love this scene. Thanks for sharing.
The next Quitely controversy: #ScanGate. Loved Earth 2 and Quitely inking himsef is a big reason why. Always felt like something was lost in translation anytime anyone else inked him. This page is a great reminder of his pure, unfiltered art. Thanks for sharing!
I would have been sad if this wound up in any other collection but yours. Epic write up, huge congrats ❤️🙌
IMO the defining moment for the X-Men in the 21st Century. Not a bad consolation prize at all.
Great page from the most pivotal scene in the whole series. This rules.
Love this! I think if I ever have a chance at a con I'll ask him for a Tinker. Congrats!
Love the way Quitely portrays movement on this page. Congrats!
There aren't too many Quitely X-Men pages out there but his coloured works are perhaps even more rare. He knocked this one out of the park. Congrats!
Cyclops rules, and so does Grant Morrison's X-Men. Morrison really got to the heart of what makes Scott tick, and that messy affair, as this page shows, was a big key to unlocking that. Congrats on the page! Would one day love a Jimenez example as good as this one.
It feels right that the Silent Issue has been kept in one collection. One of the crowning achievements of Vin's career. I've been wondering where these pages are, thanks for sharing!
Love the laugh out loud moment with the flask here. Where does she keep it?🤔
I could look at this all day. One of the best pages in a run filled with memorable pages.
Apparently I got my interviews mixed up but i did just watch the actual one you were talking about when it went live lol. Loved his answer to your last question in regards to ASSman. Interesting that he had to be convinced to work on the project and only wanted to do creator owned work with Grant. Kinda sad that they have yet to do an independent project together post All Star. Hopefully one day...
Possibly the best description I've ever read on this site. Oh and they page is pretty good too! Love every panel in this one, and loved your interview with Frank. Congrats Nick!
Superman definitely does not skip leg day.
The Bizarro issues of ASSman were some of my favorites. While Quitely oftentimes likes to go sparse with his linework in this series, I love that he put equal detail into both the characters and background here. Congrats on a fantastic page Mike!
Such a perfectly twisted issue, yet featuring a strangely melancholic Zibarro to add pathos. Quitely and Morrison are always great at mixing tones and it really shows in these pages. Love the look of determined desperation Quitely captured on Supes' face. Fantastic pages, thanks for sharing this sequence!
That initial arc from Morrison and Porter is iconic at this point. The White Martians never stood a chance! Congrats getting a great example from it.
So badass it makes me wish Storm had shown up during Quitely's New X-Men run. Congrats and thanks for sharing!
Love the texture Quitely adds to Bats' cowl. His Damian is also the definitive version imo. Congrats on a fantastic cover!
Frank's cover is what drew me to the book but your writing is what kept me on it. Great work by a bunch of HoFers. I loved this run so much I got my single issues custom bound in a hardcover. Thanks for posting this amazing cover!
Love the inking and use of shadows in these prelims. This was such a great era of X-Men, congrats on some great examples!
Unforgettable scene. Based on your CAF this grail made it to the perfect collection! Love these Varley pages!
The #1 cover of what might be my favorite Morrison/Quitely collab. Huge congrats! The inking on Flex's body hair is insane!
Just in time for the release of the omnibus! My favorite BP run, and this is one of the most memorable images. Huge congrats K!
Loved this run and this is a fantastic splash. Liam used a number of styles for this series but the one exemplified here is my favorite. Congrats!
Frank imo was always his best inker, and this is a great example. The last panel is killer. Congrats!
