Not sure... He sold it a couple weeks after he got it.
Not sure how I am just seeing this. I love to see my work, recreations (or reimagings, as I like to call them), colored, and this one does not disappoint! Very nice job!!
If this guy is pretty, I have been looking for the wrong attributes in women all these years! lol
Thanks for the kind words.
I actually did these homage covers, lol... Dynamite made a mistake and listed the artist as "Jason" Biggs in a few.
I just hope a lot of Jason's fans don't show up at conventions and meet & greets with these comics and "American Pie" blurays for him to sign!
I know this Biggs guy... fairly well... and I'm sure he would truly appreciate your comment. Seriously though... Thank you so much for the kind words.
Thanks so much Daniel. This was a piece that was truly never meant to be... just a simple Joker sketch that grew into so, SO much more!lol
WOW!!! I have followed your work for a very long time now, and I am truly touched that you would comment on one of my pieces. You are a true talent... Thank you so very much!!
I really hope you like this cover, Mike. It's been great getting to know you through our correspondence here on caf.
Oh, WOW! I just noticed in the title you used the, Oh so kind word, "genius" before my name. Trust me... I have been called many, MANY things, but "genius" has NEVER been one of them. Many thanks though for digging the work.
Man!, that is one cool... awesome... kick ass... beautiful... spectaculous... ummmm... cuddly?... What other adjectives can I add to this comment? lol Just pulling your leg buddy. I'm never happy with anything I do. So glad you like it Paul. Thanks for being an awesome guy and one of the very few people on this planet I can call a friend. I love ya man!
Let me know if you'd ever like to color any more of my stuff. I'd love to see it!
Thanks for making my work look good. I love the colors here!
I remember this piece... Seems like forever ago. Good to see it again. I haven't done a four pager since.
Thanks so much Ryan. That is a huge compliment for me... Exactly what I was going for. I love knowing that a buyer can look at their piece and, hopefully, notice something different every time. I will tell you this, there are 29 individual characters in this piece... 30 if you count one of them's pet. Thanks to everyone else who has commented on this piece as well. I love all of your feedback... be it positive or negative. To all my regulars... Your support means more to me than anything else. I am truly thankful and still humbled by the fact that you guys, who are true fans and know what you are talking about and not just blowing smoke up my ass, enjoy my work. It makes completing a piece and loading it on here so much more enjoyable. Thanks again guys!
Thanks for the kind words Mike. My buyer must not think so though as he backed out on the piece just this afternoon. Looks like another Spidey heading to eBay.
Just give it a week or so Hero Worship... The mighty Thanos is coming!
No, my friend... Thank You! I am truly humbled. Being able to do what I love is a true blessing. Having people enjoy what I do... Even more so.
I really like this piece. One of my favorite Lizard pieces I have done. Something about the webs and the way the characters fit into them... something about this one just felt right. I hope you enjoy it.
I've said it before and I'll say it again... That "Biggs" guy is a total HACK! Glad you guys like it...
That Jamie Biggs guy is a total HACK! lol... Definitely the most evil looking plants I have ever drawn.
“The Punisher has a crapload of weapons at his disposal”… well, where are they?? Because this makes no sense… the Punisher would be smart enough not to get into a hand-to-hand fight with Wolverine, he knows his limitations. He would take him out from afar, first with a rock launcher (Garth Ennis did that in the last Punisher Marvel Knights issues) and then with a flamethrower to burn him away. How does the Punisher have the upper hand??? Wolverine has stabbed on the left side of his chest, which is where the heart is… he’s lost… and the days of comic book characters having muscles that big ended with the 90’s " ... What that guy said when I posted this piece in my gallery. lol. Really glad you like this thing Robert. I figured ol' Mac Ram would have commented by now...
Thanks Conny... And thanks Robert. I'm glad to see YOU like it. I guess you can't please everyone though.
Wow!... Didn't mean to ruffle any feathers. The buyer of this piece never said if they wanted the Punisher to be winning or the Joker. I figured I'd take the politcally correct route and have it sort of split down the middle. I myself would have had the Joker winning. You may not agree, but he has handed it to Batman quite a few times, and take away all the weapons and I think Batman could hold his own against Mr. Castle here. These characters are fantasy and the situations we (as artists or fans) put them in are not meant to be so scrutinized. It's all in good fun. Besides, did you know that the Joker was trained in Too Wong Fu and Hong Kong Phooey?! Plus he's crazy... Sometimes you just can't kill crazy! Let's all lighten up and know that these characters are fun and not meant to be taken so seriously. There are too many true problems and bad guys in the world to worry about who would win in a fight between two fictional characters.
Thanks for the kind words! I am glad you like this piece. I wondered who got it off of Ebay.
Done and done JEff. I like it... Thanks so much for your suggestion.
That is one SPECTACULAR looking Punisher commission... lol Just jerkin' your chain man. Thanks for liking my work man... and thanks for posting here on CAF. I feel you will have another Punisher... and Wolverine this time, to post very soon. You ARE the man Robert!
Thanks Walt... I always worry until I get some feedback from the buyer. As soon as I get a couple coats of sealant (dried) on this thing, it'll be on its way. Thanks again.
Thanks so much guys for your support and kind words. I spoke with my brother on the phone today and he sounded a lot better than yesterday. He was having so much trouble breathing yesterday that you couldn't even hear him. I just hate the fact that his hospital is over an hour away and I can't be there as much as I would like. He is the guy that got me started drawing YEARS ago, when I was about 4. He used to draw Spiderman for me all the time. I used to bug him every day... I guess he just got a little tired of my constant begging and turned me down one day. I guess that was what it took to get me started. My feelings were hurt, but I drew my first Spiderman that day on the inside of a coloring book cover and haven't looked back since. I will send along all of your kind words and thoughts. God bless you guys.
Thanks so much guys... Your kind words are humbling, as well as very much appreciated. Being from a small town in North Carolina, I never figured anyone would ever get to see my work... much less like it! Again, I am humbled by the support and kindness I have been shown here on CAF... I hope I can continue to post works that you all will enjoy and appreciate, as much as I have enjoyed getting to know some of you guys. Thanks again... And keep your eyes peeled.. I have only just begun! (... Is that a Carpenter's song?! lol)
Thanks Mean Green. I have checked out your gallery, and coming from you, I will take your words as the highest compliment.
No Matt, unfortunately, I'm not. I have, howeve,r been turned down more times than I can count. I have a box full of rejection letters. My favorite was a seven pager that they sent me the first time I ever sent a package to them. Let's just say that they "tore me a new one"! No hard feelings though. I respect Marvel and everything that they have done and continue to do in the comics industry! Spider-man will always be one of my favorites... Just under Batman! Thanks for the kind words everyone... I hope I can keep doing pieces that get your attention!
I don't usually get to see a lot of my stuff colored... My thanks to Randy for making my work look good!
Thanks to everyone for their kind words. I have been waiting to see this one on here for a while now. Thanks Michael!
