Nic's work on the Hulk is stellar. This isn't surprising because he is an extremely talented artist who puts in his all into his art. This is a wonderful page with an amazing perspective in the first panel. Many congrats, Corey!
Many thanks, Kahlil. Byrne's style still managed to capture the spirit of the original story brilliantly.
Many thanks, Kahlil. It was indeed so nice to be able to obtain back to back pages for this fantastic sequence.
Many thanks, Kahlil. The inks by Shores really make this a killer page.
Many thanks, CJ. Apologies for this horribly delayed response. Yes, this was a great artist team indeed.
Many thanks, Kahlil. The Sinnott inks really made this piece a remarkable one. He inks Gene (indeed, anyone) so well.
Many thanks, Kahlil. This piece is even more wonderful to view in person.
Many thanks, Kahlil. I totally agree with your brilliant analysis.
Many thanks, my friend. It was a really quirky series and not to everyone's liking. But, yes, the artwork is indeed superb.
Many thanks, Paul. We are both real old-timers! I always liked the Rhino - offbeat as he was - as a villain.
Many thanks, Paul. You are indeed entirely correct in pointing out that the rest of the page is wonderful too.
This is an incredible piece in so many ways. It relates to a well-loved character in British comics and the great BB's first ever cover to boot. You have the British equivalent of what would be considered a priceless cover of a significant American title. And, to think that 2000AD continues to this very day! Many congrats, Paul!
Many thanks, Paul. Yes, given the time at which it was drawn, the design as well as perspectives were incredible and way ahead of their time.
Many thanks, Nils. What an incredible description!
Many thanks once again, my friend, for taking the time and trouble to comment on this artwork. The comic was indeed a lot of fun!
Many thanks, Kavi. And good spot on the first panel (which I had missed). Most of us were focusing on the second panel.
This is a classic Kubert war page - with Sgt Rock and twice up as well. Many congrats!
Many thanks, Ryan. And many congratulations on a wonderful original art collection.
Many thanks, Dave. This is so different from Marvel but definitely has a charm all its own.
Many thanks, West. The kookiness was what made this series so endaring!
Many thanks, Rubén. The design of the page is indeed unusual and is probably in order to permit a view of all the members (especially in the middle panel).
Many thanks, Ron. Yes, it was off-beat, but it worked! Not surprisingly, everybody loves that middle panel.
Many thanks, Steven. THAT is a really interesting idea that had not occurred to me.
Many thanks, Marcus. Yes, the panel design and perspective are quite striking (no pun intended!) in this particular piece.
It is so rare to be able to obtain the pure pencils and this is a truly splendid piece. Many congrats, Dave!
Many thanks, Dave. The Syd Shore inks complement Kirby's pencils very well indeed.
You can't ever go wrong with Wally Wood inks. This is also a superb image - paradoxically simple and profound at one and the same time. Many congrats, Ron!
This is an exceptional piece, Newell, by an exceptional artist whose attention to detail is legendary. Many congratulations!
This is an exceptional piece, Newell, by an exceptional artist whose attention to detail is legendary. Many congratulations!
This is a great page indeed - with actual flashbacks and a Ditko Cap to boot. You got a truly exceptional Ditko page that ought to - but did not - break the bank. Many congratulations all round, Alberto!
Many thanks, Toni, as always. The bonus here is that we have Syd Shores inks (which are in fact quite rare).
This is a quintessentially Hulk page that literally bursts with all out action. Many congratulations and nuff said when Hulk smash!
Many thanks, Paul, for such an insightful comment. The Trapster was an odd villain but extremely inventive as this very page demonstrates!
Many thanks, and many congratulations on a wonderful original art collection!
Many congrats on a classic battle page in this series. A wonderful page by the King!
Many thanks, Eric. Yes, that second panel is really very nice indeed. Shores' inks were always different and, in a way, more subtle.
Many thanks, Peter. And I am very happy for you. It must be especially pleasing to obtain such a nostalgic piece which you once thought was lost forever.
Many thanks, Felix. With prices being what they are, it is increasingly difficult to obtain artwork such as this.
Many thanks, Alberto. Had to post this page for continuity.
Many thanks, Joe. And you've got lots of sterling Kirby pages - and lots more besides!
Many thanks, Andrew. I must (shamefully) say that I had missed your stellar collection on CAF. Many congratulations on a wonderful collection!
Many congrats on such a striking and significant page - now when viewed in light of the recent and immense interest in Death of Superman pages, first on Heritage and now on Comicconnect. Looked at in that light, this is even more of a winner!
Many thanks, Alberto. Yes, it was quite a coincidence and I really enjoyed your piece too. Thank you for your comment, coming as it does from the premier Captain America collector in the hobby.
