I was the original owner of this piece and am glad it's found a good home. I will say however that I miss it dearly! I had to sell it (amonst other things) to fund a cross-country move. I'm now considering another piece to replace this one. If you want to know anything about this, I can say: I didn't want a typical commission which often ends up as a "portrait" or floating/incomplete character sketch on a page. I wanted a "scene", something with weight. I told Guera I would like something like Granny on her porch and maybe Catcher in the background. He turned that vague request into this beautiful image. I personally LOVED the rolling smoke from her pipe.
Awesome piece! I think it's a cover price from "The Veil" though and not Mystery Society. I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure.
SERIOUS!?!? Excellent piece. It's so cool that you got both Naga AND Yama!
Ridiculously cool piece. I LOVE her pose! :o
I didn't know you had a nice painting of Ash's?!?! This is real nice. Color me jealous. Or green... with envy!
Um... .... WOW! That's a nice collection of characters. I especially like Popbot's arm/hand/gun.
Holy crap Gimby! :o That's quite the piece. That's the epitome of EXACTLY what I'd want in an Ash ink piece. I love how great the red looks. It pops.
Guera charges a set price for commissions. You can choose a smaller 8"x11" COLOERED piece or a larger 12"x18" black & white piece. I wanted a larger piece. I also feel that Guera's inks are so good that color isn't necessary.
HAHA! :P No doubt. Thank god I picked a decent forum name :)
Excellent piece. I have a commission coming from Guera very soon. I chose a non-colorered one simply because he now does colored pieces in 8x11" and b&w inks in 11x17". Seeing your colored piece makes me hope I don't regret my decision. Those water-colors are incredible. As you said in your own comment, I didn't know he was so good with water-color. Stellar piece.
