Great full team splash image!  Vintage raw pencils with Willingham filling in the shading is truly a very nice find!  It's got all the characterization and the visual scale when keying off Monolith.

This time the name I redacted was mine. I don't remember the year but it was when the first issue came out.

😊'97 or '98 Big Apple Con. Based on a photo from Playboy. Left with this and James' phone number. And a signed Polaroid of Ox Baker with me in a shoot headlock.

It was 1998

Something you don't see often!  This may have had some Brent Anderson influence as they looked like that era of the team in '82.

O'Barr's Colossus did made me think of Brent.

I wonder whose name is under there?

It's funny, I've had this piece for quite a while and didn't really wonder what was underneath the white out. After I posted it yesterday I used a flash light and checked. Take care and be safe Brett.

What a cool piece. You very rarely see anything other than the crow by James O'Barr

Yeah me neither, his X-men story would have looked awesome!

He put every inch of that page to good use. Never heard of Zaffino before so thanks for that!

Thank you for the catch.

For for the life of me, Drew reuses designs because that looks exactly like Lynn.

Drew may have enjoyed drawing Luse as a woman and used some of the visuals for Lynn, like the widow's peak.

Nice piece.  But that's Lynn.

Thanks, but it's definately Lusiphur. I commissioned it from Drew in 1999 and Lynn didn't appear until a couple of years later. I also have the cover to Salvation Vol. 7 posted which is also Lusiphur but with the big arm tattoo.

Just so you know, one of your Poison Elves pages (issue 71 pg 19) is misnamed as Drew Hay so it's seperated from the others. I actually have four pages that go with that scene that I haven't added yet from issue #72. That's a nice run you have, congrats!

Beautiful Abby piece with that concern on her face!  I see it here more clearly than in the fnal painting.  Maybe the pencils and the shading is a better medium for what Totleben did at that time to have the immense details.

I've noticed that a lot of the time the pencils of an artist can express more emotion and texture.

Very cool! Feels like I never see Baker Street pages pop up. It's always beautiful to see the patina on the older pages as the zip a tone ages.

He's one of my all time favorites, writing and art. I'm not an artist but the gold parts seem to be zipatone that was intentionally colored gold by Guy at the time. I just added another page I hadn't gotten around to adding yet as an example (Baker Street #9 pg 7). The only parts not zipatoned are the pure white parts but only in specific places is it golden. I think he used the gold to add subtler shades of grey to give the work more depth when it's printed in black and white. Like the old black and white movies had people dressed in odd color clothes based on how that color would apear in black and white. That's just my guess.

The color changes to my Jason Alexander Empty Zone pages might be from the adhesive to keep the acetate affixed to the page but I'm not sure. Great detailed art regardless.

Grendel, so it all worked out. Since he sold one he decided to sell me the other when I asked.
