It's real and I've seen this piece in person, right around that time. He was working for DC on JLA at the time,that maybe his "joke" with the description. I believe he did this for Chris Wozniack's brother or cousin.

Golden always tells a story with his work. Obviously this is a immediate aftermath of a fight with the Joker. You can still see the shadow of Joker's hand as he is falling off the roof. Great piece!
