Great cover. Green Hornet looks more mencing than the Shadow! Great colors too! The two shadowy figure broken uo by the burst of color. Awesome. Congrats.

Fabulous looking cover, Lee, congrats! But Superman had already been around for a year by this time, so HE should've been able to stop the threat without having to bother Green Hornet and The Shadow!

This is a nicely done piece. I always enjoy seeing new Jonah Hex pieces!

The mirror shot is great as it challenges your perception putting yourself behind point of view.  Even though you would never show up in the mirror.  Martin's realism makes it even more unnerving as his art is so technically sound.

The shadows/outline of the spectre's facial features are so good, congrats! 

Pairing Jae Lee with the Spectre never crossed my mind, but now that I've seen this it seems like a natural fit.  Eerily beautiful.

Really? I always thought of him as a man, but a dead man.

Creepy as hell! This might be the first interpretation I've seen which makes him feel like he's more of a thing than a man.

Spectre in Jae's style adds another level of mysteriousness and power to the character. great commission!

As a side, when I first bought this at auction I thought he was in space too! Haha I did mention it was the ocean with sharks in the water in my unboxing but clearly on first glance with that satellite there, it definitely reads as outer space!

The Marcus Gang don't stand a chance.

The art is really quite wonderful. The time period is right up my alley, too. Great looking period vehicles and clothing!

I see Brady brought his Bunch to to take down the Marcus Gang!

Robinson's art takes you to a gangland time period we still romanticize through media.  When all three types of cop cars are used, crime don't stand a chance!

Very cool pickup Lee! Jerry Robinson golden age Crime art with a cinematic layout. the old school cars and bikes and the gangster figurework are great.

When Carl unboxed this piece, the dark background and satellite made me think it was an outer space scene. It wasn't until YOU unboxed it and mentioned that it was an under water scene that I noticed those sharks!

Blue is where it's at!  Those who don't even collect Superman would be fascinated by this brief period in time for thsi version that hasn't been brought back since. 

Superman on the offense!  He's not waiting around in this rematch!  Derenick's motion lines and rock debris come to play in the foreground and the skyscapers behind them bring sharp focus on the never ending battle! 

I can def feel the speed and power of Superman as he goes to battle up against Doomsday here in this illustration. Also like the added details in both foreground and background elements. Nice piece especially if it was for an affordable price like you mentioned.

The added spice of gothic mood really made for great stories that gave the artisitc teams ample room to display their masterful skills! This is a great example, with Dick Dillin and Dick Giordano on top form!

A memorable page from an enjoyably macabre issue. (and the first page of original art from that story I can recall seeing)

A suitable florid villain monologue followed by a very kinetic set of panels as the deathtrap is triggered and Batman takes action!

I have dipped my toes in some vintage DC pages recently, this kind of page makes me want to take a full plunge. Fantastic imagery and layouts with just the right amount of tension building dialogue.

I almost didn't see the severed head on a platter because of how gorgeous Salome carrying it is illustrated! haha. Great all around page Lee, Dillin and Giordano made a great art team

I wonder how many times in this issue Batman says "Only one way to save Robin now"?  :-)
