A mind bending page! And how Starlin managed to get such power and drama into a sequence with no action is testament to his genius.
Love these Longshot pages. Art put so much energy and detail into this series, and every page is a joy to behold. Never seen this one before, so this has been a real treat to see! Thanks for sharing :)
Doom vs. three of the Fantastic Four. The page is almost perfect :) Congrats on owning such a great example from the run Joseph.
Had my eye on this page way back when, never pulled the trigger. But as others have said, one of the best examples from the series. Lucky you to own it! And thanks for sharing, its just terrific :)
Terrific page Jason! And as you say, great use of Iceman...for once :)
Shadowcat was an underrated character in this run in my opinion. I always enjoyed all her side missions with Wolverine in particular. Congrats again on owning such a great example.
Fantastic example from JR Jr's first X-Men run. That last panel is just killer.
Pretty good moves for a guy in a wheelchair!
Romita Jr's first run on X-Men was, and still is, one of my favourite in comics. Fantastic example!
The art says so much with so little, you don't even really need the dialog. Just amazing.
The graphic storytelling on this page is amazing!
Well now this cover is flavour of the month. White Vision baby!!
Wow! Gulacy inking himself just gives his work so much more power. Love this page.
I remember this well. Wow, what an intro! Congrats Gene.
This is epic! Says it all about how great Gulacy was on Master Of Kung Fu. As you say, a gem of a page, massive congrats.
This is a beauty. Definitely one of JR JRs best X-Men covers. Had a couple of chances to own this one over the years, but failed to make it happen. Shame, but you win some you lose some.
Love seeing the extra art under the logo too, what a bonus!
Very cool, and the whole team! Fantastic example of a classic X-Men run.
Big fan of this page. Remember me if anything changes!
Such a weird cover. I remember this one freaking me out big time as a kid!
I remember this one well too. Such a great graphic layout, and the Kingpin just looks huge! Thanks for posting some great art that brings back nostalgic memories :)
Wow. This is one of the best covers from the JR Jr and Williamson run on DD. Also a perfect example of a cover that drew you into the story. I saw this book on the newstand and had to know what happened to Daredevil! The compostion by Romita Jr and the inks from Williamson are just perfect here. If you have just ONE piece from this classic run, it has to be this one. Congrats on owning this beauty.
I love all the abstraction that Tradd is putting into his most recent work. He really looks like he is having fun experimenting with his art and the medium in general. This page captures that sense perfectly. Congrats on picking up a stellar example from an artist that is challenging perception!
Nice one Malvin! And not easy to find splashes from this run. Great pick up.
Some great use of perspective here by JR JR to show off Spidey's powers. Makes for a graphically unusual and interesting page.
I remember this ad so well! Thanks for sharing the art, very cool.
Homage to one of your favourite covers of all time? It's actually Captain America Annual #8 that this is homage too.
Thanks so much for sharing, loved seeing this!
Love this page Kevin. The incredible Wiiliamson inks have created such an atmospheric piece.
This page is so very cool. It comes from one of the very earliest issues of ASM I can remember reading as a kid, so this really is a joy to see. Thanks so much for sharing, you have made my day :)
A genuine piece of comic book history. Romain, you are the king of Starlin art collectors. All hail the king!
One of Romita Jr's very best. Just amazing stuff, and one of the first covers I can remember seeing that literaly jumped off the page!
"Placed some amazing Bachalo art, inside a classic Gaiman story, inside a perfect panel page, in a great collection, on a fantastic website, surrounded by drooling collectors, 'formerly' guarded by a group of dealers each larger and more fearsome than the last..." ;-) Just wonderful stuff Si. Enjoy.
I have to agree with your view that this is one of the very best 'demon in a bottle' pages. Just a classic, and you are very lucky to own it. Congrats.
I agree with you 100% that this represents Kubert's finest hour. If you were going to only have one representative page of his work, this is it!
This is very cool. Feels as much like a piece of abstract art, as it does a comic book cover.
How 'amazing' it must be to own a Ditko Spider-Man page. A true comic book gem, congrats.
I can't believe i have only just come across this masterpiece on CAF. A joy to behold, so thanks so much for sharing Michael.
