You and Marcus hit it on the head, the black background accentuates the curves and shapes and make the colors pop. What really made it stand out.

I generally prefer my black and white art, but Timm is SO good at coloring. Stellar piece!

Great story. And one of the best Rocketeer sketches I've ever seen. I know it's a treasured, personal piece, but if you ever decide to sell it I would be honored to be considered.

I agree, the non-Davis ones are more mainstream. I actually like his crude Garfield art though. It was jarring the first time I saw it, but it grew on me because I liked the gags and stories better.
