Yeah, it's been a lot of fun collecting these. Its been a real project with definite ups and downs. Having a focus for the collection allows me to "make progress" as opposed to just your average collection that has no end in sight. Not that there is anything wrong with collections like that - but if I want to have a collection that really stands out but that is kept within a tight budget - I have to do something unique, and to me that is assembling a run of covers - which you just don't see that often. Its like complete comic interiors - you don't see it often - but when you do - you remember it. That's what I want out of my collection.

lovely page tony!

Thanks, Ben! This piece is special to me because it was the very first piece of original art that I ever bought. For that reason alone it will be the last piece I ever part with!

This book really got under my skin when I was a kid. It was dark and scary unlike any comic i'd ever read before.

James, losing this piece to you was one of my comic art disappointments. I know you don't like to part with your pieces, but should you ever need to (or just feel the need to make a fellow collector happy) - send me an email! Nice collection by the way - I think we grew up reading and appreciating much of the same stuff. Silvestri X-Men was a highlight for me as well.
