Thanks,Michael...The Hulk appeared for one brief second at the end of issue #50,when she dies, and you see the head shots of everyone she met thru her life.I included him because he's one of my all time favorite charactors...i always wanted to do that book!...btw,i recentely found out who owns the original mechanical art to the cover of Spider-woman #50...its Lynn Luckman, she is the woman who is dressed in the Spider-woman costume on the cover of issue 50!,i met her on Facebook...she has that photo cover!

Thanks...this art is an interesting piece of history, and unique because the actual editor of the book drew it...
Hi Chuck...nope, i didn't draw this...this ad was probably done right before i started pencilling the book...i'm 99% sure it was pencilled by Mark Gruenwald, and probably inked by Jack Abel, who was on staff at Marvel (at the time)...i remember Mark showing this to me in his office....it appeared in many marvel books to announce the new directon for Spider-Woman....

GREAT!...i think sometimes when you give an artist "less" direction, you end up getting more out of him....brunner like cockrum, is underrated....loved his dr. strange work....
this is great....i always thought dave cockrum was tremendously underrated....i believe he actually drew a few issues of batman in the late 80's.....by the way, dave was the first "PRO" i ever met...i was painting a mural for a candy store (in queens,ny) in 1974,and he stopped by to talk with me,with his son...he was drawing the legion at that time....great guy.
great stuff!...anything gene does has a uniqueness to it....
great job by ken and joe!...joe might be one of the first inkers to work on ken's pencils since his 1940's comics work, because ken has always inked his own work...i like how joe's inks have kept that "golden age" feel!...
by the way...tim tells me the image area is...approx 9 x 12 inches....and its on medium weight paper...
OKAY!....i found the issue!....its...SAVAGE SWORD OF CONAN" #64,may of '81....i bought this off the stands....it was edited by louise jones at that time, not hama.....the issue has a great toth frontispiece...and 7 full page illos....worth picking up...i'm sure you could find the issue on ebay for a only buck or two...
...i believe this was published in "savage sword of conan" b+w mag in the early 80's?...when larry hama was editing....i believe there was like a 4 or 5 page "toth conan portfolio" in that issue....i'm pretty sure i saw this drawing...like 25 years ago!....i also wonder about the size toth drew this as well....he liked working closer to "print" size....like 8x10 inches....i doubt he did this larger than 11x17....but you never know....
pablo marcos is great!....i always liked his "tales of the zombie" for the marvel black and white mags...
beautiful work!....i bought all 4 "kelly green" books when they came out in the 80's...what many people don't know is that there was a 5th volume NOT published in the usa....it was published in italy, and it had kelly in a "bondage" leather outfit on the cover!...and inside there were scenes at a comic con!....stan drake even drew a panel with will eisner talking to jack kirby!!!....i found one copy of this kelly green edition years ago on ebay....get it if you can....its unbelievable...
