I'm not surprised to see so many books about NY. John Byrne's city backgrounds are so good. Looking at his work I always had a feeling he was into architecture. Very nice pics, thanks for sharing Royd!
I know what you mean Guido. The original makes a better illustration. But the piece is for a poster, so I needed Iron Man to pop up out of the picture...in order to have that effect, I eased up the background characters with the coloring. My intention was to get people in the streets to notice Iron Man and THEN look at the rest of the picture if they want to. Hope it will work that way ;)
