Agree 100%. He serves as a good social commentary for instant gratification, corporate greed, shameless audience pandering, and gross underestimation of people's intelligence. Then of course the hilarious "Poochie died on his way back to his home planet.." haha
This kinda reminded me of Chainsaw from GLOW wrestling in the 80s. Very unique style.
Wow! This is epic with The pose and black and white shading. This is a very unique Timm piece. Not the usual Heavy contrast light and dark.
I like how he added the feathers and gives it almost a story in the artwork that you wouldn't recognize unless you familiar with the stories. Thanks 😊
Thanks Marcus! I appreciate your keen eye for detail and things a lot of other wouldn't notice or appreciate. I always look forward to your comments. 🙂
Thank you! I love the composition and the use of negative space as well.
I agree with you. It lends an unpredictability not unlike Death itself and adds to the piece. Thank you! I really enjoy your insightful comments 😊
Thanks so much! She sells the sketchbooks with sketches in them on her website at really fair prices.
I went to this years Baltimore ComicCon, which Mark frequents, and went to his table first. ( I got in line a few hours early for the show and went on the first day (Fri.)). He still had commission spots available and he agreed to do it for a very nominal fee. He even had it done in a few hours.
Thanks buddy! He made it huge too, it's a little bigger than 11x 17. I was only expecting 8 x10 maybe.
Awesome piece, i bought one of Death from Sandman from him but he never sent it.
This was my son's favorite thing from your sketchbook. He liked the puff of cold air coming out of his mouth. haha
Thanks Paul, It was nice seeing you.
I agree that Miracleman is absolutely top notch in both writing and art. Totleben's linework and layering through meticulously placed pen strokes is what sets him apart from everyone else. Awesome piece Carlos!
Thanks fellas! Carlos, I can't wait to see how your Magik turned out. If it was half as good as that Judge Anderson we watched him do, I know it'll be spectacular!
I bought this one at Pittsburgh Comic Con 2012. Thanks Bob!
Thanks guys! James rocks! This is my first year of really going to conventions. I think in a year's time i got some pretty good stuff, stuff that i can afford ;) Between the various cons in Pittsburgh and the Baltimore con, these Crows are my favorites, plus they have cool stories behind them, which means as much, if not more than the actual piece. :)
Thanks guys! Every once in awhile they bring someone exceptionally awesome to a Pittsburgh show and i just couldn't miss out on seeing James. It seems like if you don't live in L.A. or NYC you miss out on everything. He said he hadn't been around the area in 10 years or so and i wasn't about to wait another 10. haha We had a great time and this might be my favorite piece i have so far.
Does anyone draw hot chicks better than Tim Seeley? I doubt it. Super cool!
I cannot convey to you how badly i want this. haha I love Hack/Slash and this is spectacular!
This is one of the best, simplest sketch of Cassie Hack i've seen. Simple and beautiful. Congrats!
I really love the simplicity and black and white contrast with this. I gotta get a Cassie Hack from Tim Seeley or twelve for that matter. Awesome piece.
Very cool! I loved the cover Dan did for the Hack/Slash series and this is right up there with that! Congrats.
Very nice! An awesome anniversary present by a no doubt awesome wife. I wanted to get one of these at Baltimore but i didn't have the thousand bucks :(
Wow! Awesome concept! Was it your idea to do the mirror imaging or is that something Ron just whipped up? Very cool!
