Amazing graphic storytelling!  Nice choices taken on every panel having a clean look to only show what is neccessary to more focus and impact.

Thanks Marcus! I just noticed that I uploaded an older version of page 2, which is missing a panel that kind of ruins the continuity from 2 to 3. I'll have to correct that soon.

These are terrific!  I think I bid one one or two of these myself...  The way Godwin indicates water is so good and the faces and poses are fantastic

Thanks- I agree with all of the above. And how about the wood grain in #2? I've noticed that Godwin's strongest suit is drawing older men, and this is a great example of that.

Nice strips! Godwin used himself as the model as he often did.  He would use his children as well as models in the strips.

Thank you for the insight Thomas. That makes a lot of sense! I do the same thing all the time.

Amazing! I hadn't seen this before, but this is wonderful! Walt Kelly is in many ways the greatest newspaper cartoonist of all time - certainly the greatest letterer, the slyest humorist. Pogo has the best colloquial dialogue, the largest universe of colorful characters, etc., etc. How fortunate you are to have this beauty - it belongs in a museum.

Very nice indeed!

Thanks David! I see you're a Williamson fan as well. It's been interesting learning how variable the quality of the Corrigan strips is. The best are amazing - some are not so great.

What a gorgeous Pogo!

Thanks a lot! I'll have to try again with another photo to try to get the accurate colors with the blue lines.

Dave really was able to create magic with the brush....not an easy thing to do, but I'd say you are doing one heckuva job yourself!

Thank you, Brett. That's high praise from a DS aficionado.

Beautiful work! One of my favorite CTD panels.

Thanks, mine too. I remember seeing this as a teenager and being amazed. Looking at your collection I see we're interested in many of the same things.
