I appreciate your comment and share your thoughts. So how about I share another 9x12 Hammerhead commission that Craig did for me. Please see the additional image.
Thanks for noticing and the comment. I've updated the description and added an additional image for us brick connoisseurs. ;)
Much appreciated. You absolutely get bonus points! It's nice to make the acquaintance of someone else that appreciates those bronze age classics. I love your handle.
Thanks for the compliment. It's hard to resist a good Byrne/Romita mashup.
That's pure beauty there. I LOVE it! Big congrats to you on this stunner.
An absolute stunner for all the reasons mentioned. But to me, what makes this sketch extra unique, is her lips. I'm not much of a fan of AA's botox lips. Kudos to AA for being aware enough, to realize his 'standard' lips wouldn't suit her.
The Noto pieces you get keep getting better and better. A wonderful idea and a great result. Congrats.
Love the detail, composition, and action. Their poses/bodies look nautural and fluid, as opposed to awkward and stiff. Great choice of characters and beautiful end result. Congrats.
❤️ Awesome idea. Even better end result. 👍 Major congrats!
Gorgeous. And I second Micheal's comment. The attention to detail and color choices give the piece a nice 3d look. It makes me think that it is a photo of a high-end, modern MEGO Batgirl action figure.
Congrats on winning the piece and contributing to a meaningful cause. She's beautiful.
The way Duncan portrays anatomy always just seems so natural and right. And his creativity and attention to detail is impressive. If only he had stuck around in the comic industry until now, I have no doubt he would be among the top tier artists.
Gorgeous! You chose wisely! The colors pop and are harmonious. And the Copics are rendered perfectly, as only Artgerm can. Congrats.
Love it. What a unique layout and the colors just pop. Gwen looks beautiful and everything about it, so captures that 60's vibe. You definitely scored with this one. Congrats.
Congrats Austin. Just gorgeous. I consider myself a Noto aficionado, and I can honestly say, this ranks as one of the most beautiful Noto Black Widow commissions I've seen. Love the pretty face.
Amazing looking piece! Great character choices, composition, style, and attention-to-detail (even right down to his signature). The best Pow art on CAF so far. Congrats!
Now that is one smart and interesting choice of characters. The end result is superb. I love how the colors really compliment each other, and how Slimer is perfectly translucent.
What a nice and interesting comment. I love the Munn-ster! It makes me happy that you see the beauty of Olivia in it. Thanks!
Thanks for taking the time and the kind words. Your comments always hit the bullseye.
Your collection is amazing. Given your good taste and discerning eye, your comment means a lot. Much appreciated and respect.
Popular character(s) + She's a real LOOKER + Colors that POP! + Rendering that is SPOT ON + Rarity of painted comic art by Phil + It's a NOTO! = One amazing GRAIL!!!
And lest I forget... Adam Hughes commenting "That's stunning!", when Phil originally posted it on Instagram, is high praise.
I second what Duke said. Excellent choice. I love how Stuart was able to improve upon this iconic cover, by adding just the right amount of tweaking and fine detail. The characters have a better intensity and depth than the original. And thanks for sharing the colors; that is great to see.
Absolutely one of the best Black Cat commissions I've seen done by Humberto. Love the pose, expression, and hair. Not only does it capture both her sexiness and naughtyness, but the placement of her hands gives the piece some nice depth. Congrats!
A cool idea executed to perfection. It captures the essence of Rat Fink to a tee. Such a beatiful piece that pays tribute to two of the biggest names in the hot rod/custom car craze of the 60's. Congrats Marcus!
Wonderful art of an amazing show. This piece is a salute to why the last episode still stands as the most watched TV episode of all time. I was in elementary school when this originally aired, and it was my favorite 'adult' show. Not only did I really enjoy watching it, but it was the only show that made me feel like I mentally growing up while doing so. Kudos to you on your choice of subject and artist, and of course, the gorgeous end result.
What a gorgeous piece! The detail, perspective, originality, and atmosphere are stunning. Not sure if you've seen this or not, but Benjamin Sawyer colored it on his Deviantart page:

Love it! Congrats! Not only is it gorgeous, but its refreshing to see a Vargas piece that is suitable for all ages. Pamela, Selina, and Harleen' would also work as a cool title for us comic guys. ;)
P.S. Your overall collection is amazing. Thanks for sharing and bringing variety to CAF.
Kudos. Appropriately monochromatic, understated, and beautiful. A wonderful pose with nice proportions. In comparing this piece to your previous Sheena, it's cool to see the evolution/advancement of Phil's style.
Oh, you got it! Fantastic! So happy for you. Definitely the highlight of that gallery sale. The simple, yet striking color scheme, the timeless fashion/style aspect, and sheer size, will command any room. A contemporary and mid-century modern piece all-in-one. I can't imagine Phil will do another piece like it anytime soon, if ever, so that makes it pretty special. In a way, you got nine Noto pieces in one; what a bargain! ;) The icing on the cake would be if you were born in 68.
Awesome artwork and story! Thanks for sharing. This is what comic art collecting should be about... good times and great memories. You can never go wrong with a Byrne/Austin piece, so kudos to you on making the right call!
